No matter how many times you watch them!

Casper, when the mum comes back.

Friends, when Monica is going to the sperm bank & Joey chats to her about how he sees her future & gives her a big hug. (I was desperately broody & single first time I watched that & it always still gives me the feels!)

The start of Titanic where they show that old footage & play that music.

‘Oh Daddy my Daddy’.

BobbieWaterbury · 16/06/2022 12:46

Oh and Who will Love My Children. All of it!

LadyCampanulaTottington · 16/06/2022 12:49

Me Before You. When she realises he’s going to do it anyway. Then I snotty sob until she’s walking across the bridge in Paris.

BracedlnEndIessJanuary · 16/06/2022 12:51

It's a sin - many scenes broke me but I absolutely bawled at the Neil Patrick Harris hospital scene in the first episode. It was beautifully done and I was gutted he did not get an emmy nomination for cameo. I was also gutted that the Baftas did not award the show from the many nominations it had.

Pride - when buses full of miners turn up for the march. I cry all the way to the end after that every time I see it.

YES to this.

Also UP

The end of Imitation of Life

Loads of West Side Story but especially when Anita and Maria since A Boy Like That/I Have a Love

BracedlnEndIessJanuary · 16/06/2022 12:55

Years and years was the other (also Russell T Davies). The scene with the reality of the Channel crossing on the rubber raft and the aftermath on the beach was devastating.

ReallyReallyReallyAm · 16/06/2022 12:58

perimenofertility Aww I love that movie! It's the ending that gets me, where Ducky says 'This is our new brother Spike' & all the others find their families again!

RoseLunarPink It's ridiculous isn't itGrin
I recently watched Watership down after not seeing it for years. Gave myself a talking to 'You know what's going to happen, that part will soon be over' etc. (The part where they play Bright eyes) I Still seriously sobbed. I was watching with my son & had a blanket which I hid in (& soaked with my tears!)

Renniesfixeverything I don't remember that one but the episode of Royal family where Denise is in labour in the bathroom with her dad always touches me!

Toy Story 4. My children were approaching university age. I sobbed in the cinema.

Life is Beautiful. It was shown on TV. I missed the beginning and thought I was watching a romcom. The second half came as a visceral shock. I couldn't get it out of my head for days. I'm emotional now just thinking about it.

KimWexlersPonyTail · 16/06/2022 13:00

Bridges of Madison County at the end when Clint drives off in his pick up truck. Kills me everytime.
Also second 'daddy oh my daddy' from Railway Children

GinandTonic1975 · 16/06/2022 13:02

Steel Magnolias, where Julia Roberts life support is turned off, then at the funeral her mum Sally Field breaksdown 😢

NightmareSlashDelightful · 16/06/2022 13:05

Buffy the Vampire Slayer, when her mum dies unexpectedly. Buffy's 'Mom? Mommy?' when she finds the body is bad enough. But the part that really gets me is when Anya (friend of the group, former demon, now human so new to human emotions) has an increasingly upset/upsetting rant about why nice people have to die, and how unfair it is. Emma Caulfield - the actor who plays Anya - really sold that scene, the hurt and confusion, and her total inability to handle what she's feeling.

Squaffle · 16/06/2022 13:37

Oh God, another vote for the the opening of 'Up', can't even hear the music without tearing up. And that Buffy episode is absolutely incredible.

Brokeback Mountain - the ending where you see Heath Ledger taking Jack's shirt out of the wardrobe and it's tucked inside his own shirt like they are hugging... makes me ugly-cry

Forrest Gump - "You died on a Tuesday", all the bits where he is navigating being a Dad after Jenny passes away get me right in the feels

jay55 · 16/06/2022 14:17

"Stay gold Ponyboy" Johnny's death in The Outsiders always has me bawling.

Renniesfixeverything · 16/06/2022 14:35

Forgot about the Royle Family, the bit in the 'Queen of Sheba' episode where Barbara is brushing Nana's hair and Nana asks if she's a burden Sad

ihateexcel · 16/06/2022 14:40

Old 70's film with Jon Voight called The Champ. End of the film when he dies and his son cries over his body - every single time.

RoseLunarPink · 16/06/2022 14:41

Oh my Royle Family one is when Denise is in labour and leaning up against the bath with Jim hugging her. She's scared she won't be a good mum or won't love the baby and he tells her how he felt about her when she was born. Tearing up now!

Shallysally · 16/06/2022 14:44

The christening scene in Mamma Mia Here We Go Again. Was totally unprepared, managed to hold it together in the cinema but had to run to my car and sat for a long time sobbing.

OhLookCriedNed · 16/06/2022 14:46

The episode of ER where Dr Carter is reading out Mark Greene's letter to the staff after he's died. Gets me every time 😢

Dozycuntlaters · 16/06/2022 14:50

Haatchi A Dogs Tale where the dog is waiting at the station for his dead master, and especially the scene where the guys widow sees him there after 9 years and sits with him and says they can wait for one train together. I'm welling up just thinking about it, so bloody sad. I watched it the other week and sat bawling and cuddling my dog, really was not a good idea.

Maves · 16/06/2022 14:51

Most recent ghost busters afterlife the end 🥲 beautifully done and an amazing tribute

BeautyGoesToBenidorm · 16/06/2022 14:55

Colin's deterioration and death in It's A Sin. Heartbreaking.

Another one for Denise and Jim in the bathroom in The Royle Family - 'Pie Jesu' was the song playing, we had the José Carreras version at my dad's funeral and I'm in tears every time.

Also Mel's death in Benidorm!

overthinkersanonnymus · 16/06/2022 14:56

This is England when Lol gets attacked by her dad 😖

Royal family when Denise has her baby and she's on the bathroom floor with Jim 😭

Armageddon when Bruce Willis pushes ben affleck back in the lift and says look after my little girl 😭😭😭

Gingermoth · 16/06/2022 14:56

Kathy come home, bloody tragic

MrsReeves · 16/06/2022 15:15

Titanic, when the ship is just about to go under. And it shows the old couple in bed, cuddling, and then a mum reading a story to her 2 kids and tucking them up. Every time 😭

FriendlyPineapple · 16/06/2022 15:16

I can't watch really any of Life is Beautiful.
