I've not noticed any "side eye" or flirting.

everything we see has been deliberately chosen and put together by the editing team from hours and hours of footage.

I think it has looked like side eye sometimes. I’m just not sure it was intentional or has been at that instant.

They seem to cut to her ‘reaction’ frequently - or more frequently than the others. And it has not looked congratulatory or anything remotely like it.

i suspect a ramp up of drama for drama sake. It isn’t necessary. I’m damn sure I don’t look pleasant and smiley all the time. (if at all) They need to stop it because it isn’t fair.

I’m not much of a fan of her outfits - therefore she isn’t my favourite - but the editing suite need to cut her a wee bit slack.

Does Brogan just have an expressive face though I wonder? The others probably have the same thoughts.

It's a bit depressing that about half of the comments on the thread are about one particular contestant's dress sense, voice and facial expressions, it's feels like Tall Poppy syndrome directed at someone who has everything going for them. All four semi finalists are excellent sewists and deserve to do well for themselves.

Sadly there's a lot of internalised misogyny about, Ulysses. Accusing Brogan of flirting and "side eye" for heaven's sake.

Not misogyny at all for goodness sake! If I happen to find someone or something irritating about the programme then that’s my problem- I find a certain contestant and a presenter get on my wick.

I won’t be changing my mind on her side eye.

these threads are usually friendly and nice but all the hate and spite directed towards Brogan is too much for me.

@SoupDragon oh, such a shame! I like Brogan a lot and I'm sorry to see you go. These threads are much nicer as a positive space.

Maybe we can make a new thread and ask people to keep in the Sewing Bee spirit?

I didn’t care for the big final decision.

i don’t think it is fair on those who’ve gone before. They don’t let both stay when it is close in the earlier rounds. Or when they have one off day.

I don’t think it was the right decision although it is probably a popular one. For me Brogan had an off day. Just like last week.

Marni had the same and got the dunt. And in my opinion is an equally talented sewer/sewist.

I think you have a point, @SheSheldonesqueTheBstard , because Cristian used the wrong fabric and was sent home. Brogan's definitely wasn't origami and neoprene doesn't fold.
She was definitely lucky tonight.

Yes it seemed like it.

She is grand at sewing. But the last two weeks it has gone a bit squint. If Christian hadn’t gone with a stretchy frock, he would have had to stay.

There is no doubt she’s super at sewing. But for me it just has to be fair throughout. It doesn’t feel fair. It shouldn’t be about liking someone.

And I’d have felt the same way if anyone else bodged a little.

It certainly wasn’t fair but I had a feeling this would happen and said so to my daughter. But I doubt Brogan will go on to win because the show would lose all credibility if she does.

Last nights decision was done only to add a bit of excitement to proceedings and in the long run it will mean nothing at all that Brogan wasn’t sent home last night. Esmeralda very clearly said - it wasn’t Origami. She’s already lost and they know it so keeping her in just doesn’t matter

I hope that's the case because it is a bit unfair to send Cristian home for not completing the brief and not send Brogan.
