I gave up last night, as I couldn't keep awake, and I was awake most of the night then anyway.
Glad Carlos won- will be interesting to see how things go from here.
Rafa is probably knackered, Sascha, Djok and Carlos had pretty easy matches. It will be mind over body for Rafa in his match tomorrow, I think- and he can't afford a slow start.

Cilic and Medvedev have the night session today- that could potentially be a good one. I've never really considered clay to be a good surface for either player really- so it could go either way.

Iga is on before them- I doubt that will be a 4 hour match that runs the risk of delaying their start

I am not sure how much I will see today. I might have to do something with DD2 who is piling on the guilt because all her mates have gone away for the holidays and we are stuck here as usual.

I’m still trying to work out in what way Alcaraz wants to be like Tim - maybe he just wants to look like an accountant!

Fizzy I'm intrigued about why Alcaraz wants to be like Tim, too Imean, he didn't have a great clay record, so it can't be that. Maybe it's his array of pastel coloured, neatly pressed shirts?

I need it to stop raining. I have been wanting to cut the grass for weeks, and keep missing my opportunity. If it doesn't have a clear week without rain, it gets no sun at the front and stays too wet to cut.
The grass has grown a foot over night.

Jane oh yes, it will be. I like both of them- actually some good match ups today. Rublev and Sinner could be a battle. I think only Stef has the 'easy on paper' match- and even then, he's been pushed a bit by players you wouldn't expect (like Kolar), and Rune is quietly getting better. He has had 3 pretty straightforward matches- and beat Shapo, of course (and had what could have been a nasty fall into the court covers).

Jane yes, he's 19 And I think he is already very good at buttering up whoever he is talking to- in the same way players always start victory speeches with
<insert name of current tournement>- this is my favourite tournament, and city in the WORLD.
