Just realised the tennis ball emoji is missing from the app. Merde. Off to complain!

The night session at RG starts too late, due to the broadcaster or something (they did mention it at the start of the tournament). At the US Open/Australia, they start at about 7pm local time, so you can get two night matches on. Doesn't stop them often going into the early hour of the next morning.

RG are missing a trick really.

Mats is attracting a crowd.

I am sure the crowd were booing when Djok came out today, Alize was a bit shocked. So, I think the crowds may be more for Rafa.

Historically, Parisian crowds have not been on Rafa's side- he's said as much in the past. Despite all his wins. He spoilt the party, because they wanted Roger to be their winner. They love Roger. He beat Roger- many times. But they have grown to like him.

I hope the crowds support Rafa, because I think he will need it. I hope his foot holds up.

Alcaraz played against Londero in his the night session too, Babsi.

Scheduling Carlos now is problematic, because if he gets through they can't give him the night match again next time. The Rafa/Djok match, has to take that slot. And surely Carlos is due a Lenglen match? (although there have been years Rafa probably hasn't played there).

He will get a day off, though. So it's not like he has to play tomorrow, I suppose.

I missed the beginning of Djok's match so I didn't hear the booing Raahh but the crowd definitely seemed to be on Rafa's side in the last set.

Yes, they keep forgetting that they tried everything to sabotage Rafa in 2020. A pandemic, only one clay tournament before RG- they held it in October - they changed the balls.

He still won.

Although that dog looks a bit like a puppet dog.

Jane it was odd. There definitely was booing. Couldn't tell why. I have never really felt that the French crowd were for or against Djok to be honest. He always does the 'I can speak French' and 5 other languages thing. (his accent is crap).

Maybe his rent-a-crowd couldn't make it today.

Most children I know (I hate the name on children , but it's popular here) are girls.

But the film Willow, with Warwick Davis, he's a bloke.

Jane I was going to say, maybe they aren't vaccinated, but that doesn't seem to bother RG, unfortunately.

(I'm holding out for the US Open not letting him in. I know it's still a way off, and Covid is rapidly becoming 'not a thing').

I think Djoks behaviour in Aus re-inforced a lot of non-fans opinion that he's an arrogant twerp....but I wonder if the whole novax saga would have changed anyone else's opinion?

Got to love Tim and his 'big up the Brits'- but you can't compare Norrie to Alcaraz. Even if Cameron did win a masters. They are worlds apart. Sorry Cam.

He's just an idiot. And at one time, I felt sorry for Jelena, but since Covid, and the whole 5g thing - I think they are well suited really and she probably is very much as bad as him.

I've never seen anyone who can predict where the ball will return so quickly as Carlos can.

whenever I see Jelena she looks very thin and unhappy - must be a result of the GF diet and being married to Djok - she must know what she’s letting herself in for though! Little Stefan has nice chubby cheeks so hopefully he’s allowed a few treats every now and again

For some reason I always thought that the French loved Rafa but apparently there was Rafa fatigue when he won so many times

I had a brief interlude to have tea and watch a bit of the queen but back on tennis now -DH has given up and gone to bed !

I see some of the same people in the crowd for this match.

Hope Carlos wraps this up quickly now because my concentration has totally gone.
