Oooo a double header !!! That's unusual for ctm

anon12345678901 · 13/02/2022 21:01

Damn now I'm going to be impatiently waiting for next Sunday!

jowly · 13/02/2022 21:01

Ohhhh Paaaaaaaatrick 😱

Pebble21uk · 13/02/2022 21:02

Lying there unconcious is the best acting Dr Mansplainer has done all series!

dreammattemousse · 13/02/2022 21:02

Oh my god

Alittlenonsensenowandthen · 13/02/2022 21:02

Would Catholic nuns really welcome the abortion act even if they were aware of back street abortions?!

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 13/02/2022 21:03

Well! That wasn't a restful end to the weekend. All of a tizz now.

I predict:

  1. Sister Julienne won't survive. I wonder if Jenny Agutter has had enough.
  1. Dr Twee (great name) will survive. Heidi Thomas is his wife. She won't have written a storyline that kills him off.
Sad
HalfShrunkMoreToGo · 13/02/2022 21:03

Have they ever ended a CTM episode on a cliffhanger before?

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 13/02/2022 21:03

They're Anglican nuns. Not sure how much difference that makes, but they have all seen firsthand the results of backstreet abortions.

JellyfishandShells · 13/02/2022 21:04

I misheard earlier so was a bit puzzled at a train from Cheltenham coming into Liverpool Street ! ( instead of Chelmsford)

PriamFarrl · 13/02/2022 21:04

They are Anglican, not catholic.
SpinningTheSeedsOfLove · 13/02/2022 21:04

Of course the train from Chelmsford to Liverpool Street with Sister Julienne and Dr Turner on board crashed right next to Nonnatus House. Driven by the husband of a Nonnatus patient currently giving birth, with a tea lady who has had all her babies delivered by Nonnatus House nuns serving up free rosie lees.

And of course the rescue operations are now being directed by Mr Aylward.

This is amazing stuff. So bad it's brilliant.

Girliefriendlikespuppies · 13/02/2022 21:04

Oh God not sure they needed to add the urn of boiling water into the mix!!

heelforheelandtoefortoe · 13/02/2022 21:05

They won't kill them off. It's call the midwife. Its meant to be a feel good show and people have normal deaths.

Alittlenonsensenowandthen · 13/02/2022 21:05

Either way, think it's a bit far fetched to think they'd applaud the decision

sluj · 13/02/2022 21:06

I bet Phyllis arrives home next week and organises the chaos. Good episode but I just kept watching out for warning signs, who is going on the train, Tim's last conversation with his Dad, crows etc

They are not Catholic
weliketoparty79 · 13/02/2022 21:07

I think that's the end of Sister Julienne.

The doctor will survive, no doubt about it.

Hercisback · 13/02/2022 21:07

Anyone else howling at the special effects?

So bad it was laughable.

TheLightSideOfTheMoon · 13/02/2022 21:08

Must be Sister Julienne. Sister Francis wouldn’t be dramatic about NH ‘sinking’ if it was patronising Dr who died.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 13/02/2022 21:08

Yes, we can expect Phyllis back. Not Trixie, because of Helen George's pregnancy the distance from Amalfi.

MinglingFlamingo · 13/02/2022 21:09

I predict
Nurse Corrigan will become the best nurse ever as a result of this something will click in her brain

Mr Blinding teeth will save the day

dr twee & sister julienne will survive if badly injured

The tea lady will die

The train driver will survive but will beat him self up for it especially as he has an incurable brain tumour

Tiny Tim will make up with his dad and have some sort of student doctor ephiany

vjg13 · 13/02/2022 21:10

I don't think there were enough hints that there was going to be a train disaster! Grin

MinglingFlamingo · 13/02/2022 21:11

I still think that the fireworks in the shop will be set off from the train fire SadSad

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 13/02/2022 21:12

I wondered why we suddenly saw the prayer meeting and Fred and Reggie in the shop. Then I remembered the prayer meeting is in the flat above the shop and I knew the train was going to crash into the building. You could have seen the signals there was going to be a train crash from space.
