Thank God for Spencer, although I'm finding that doing tv adaptations of famous novels risks connecting more to literature than broadcasting.

When I was young you could buy cakes shaped like Dougal from bakeries. They were made out of cream-filled meringues.

I'm not a big meat eater and I can get a bit squeamish sometimes at certain things. I've just googled what head cheese is 🤢🤢🤮 why would you do that! What did the lovely people attending the banquet do to deserve that

Hi, new to the party, is it just me or is everyone getting fed up of the tenuous links to the brief, I'm expecting someone to do a flipping quiche at some point and say it was a tribute to the Lorraine show!

I agree. There was a dish that had a link to the RHS Flower Show. I thought it was lazy as there are lots of gardening TV shows they could have linked to instead eg Gardeners World. Some of the dishes I struggle to see any link with.

The matching the brief is ridiculously pants. A duck dish for Grange Hill, venison for eastenders. As good as the cigar looked Churchill felt a stretch too.

I can't decide whether Anita and Brian will have a team of private chefs or whether Brian is devoted to his aga.

I feel like Andi has bigged them up but it was only really Spencer who was stellar.
