Have been watching this on and off. How much longer does it go on for? (ie, when are the quarter-finals etc?)

Didn't this used to be shown live, or was that just the final rounds?

Personally, I feel like I've watched at least 6 quarter finals this series. When do the semi-finals start?

I think they get launched into a professional kitchen if they win - Thomasina did v well ( was on tv recently cooking in the wild) and has her own restaurant ( see further down this thread). Not sure how many more rounds to go.

Don't get me wrong, Sarah's food was very good, but James' was exceptional. I just don't know how they came to that decision. I even thought James had a great chance of winning the final of MC.

I'm still reeling from John beating the tarot reader to the quarters. No wonder his veal sauce was a bit salty- he was sweating buckets into it- YEUCK!!!!

I think he was called John, anyway. The grey-haired sales manager. Big, sweaty bloke. Couldn't really cook very well.

John couldn't find fault with any of his dishes, and Greg only had something bad to say about one of the three.

It was a stitch up!

So, is that all four semi finalists chosen? Next week there are 12 people who didn't get through on last year's show. Does that mean that there are only three semifinalists chosen, and one of them will be the fourth?

Agree. And very repetitive - breakfast shift, evening shift, 2 course meal each night. Is it just for this week?
