Mine is The Big Bang Theory. We never watched it when it was first on, then we saw the odd episode on telly and enjoyed it so we got the box set and watched all 12 series in a couple of months!

It’s so funny, lots of favourite episodes. One of my favourite parts is when Bernadette is talking about being short and she says ‘and that’s why my feet don’t touch the ground when I’m sitting on a chair’. I’m 4ft 11 and very much have this problem Grin

Just subscribed to Netflix and finally watching Breaking Bad. Just starting the second series tonight...

sevensongs · 05/09/2022 11:41

I've only just watched Godless on Netflix. One if the best series I've ever seen.

Million dollar listing New York.
Late to the party but really enjoying it. On series 6 now of 9. I love seeing the NY apartments, the furnishings, the awful kitchen cabinets in most of them. I forget after a bit they're talking in millions rather than thousands of dollars!

As already mentioned, Friday Night Dinner, Schitt's Creek and Motherland are all fabulous.

I have also loved Workin' Moms, House of Cards, Designated Survivor, The Crown, Virgin River, and The Fall.

I'm currently mid-way through Orange is the New Black and it is great.

I heartily agree with all of these but have not yet tried Schitts creek...

Not discovered as such but ‘rediscovered’ as I missed the last two series (i think it was maybe on channel 5 originally) but I love Longmire it’s on Freevee which is even better as …..it’s free with very minimal ads
I’ve been catching up as can only remember fleeting bits it’s brilliant, the setting is so beautiful and well filmed it’s meant to be Wyoming, but I understand there are various locations mainly New Mexico
I love Zahn McLarnon who was Hanzee in Fargo and he’s in it a lot

Just started Brooklyn 99 - love it!

Discwriter · 06/09/2022 19:07

Really surprised how much I enjoyed My Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. Also liked Cobra Kai and just by chance started Capture on BBC Iplayer.

IpanemaChic · 06/09/2022 19:10

I started Stranger Things over the summer with my teen dd and loved it. Just finished series 1.

rosegoldwatcher · 06/09/2022 19:55

Only 3 (long) episodes but Dracula, originally on BBC in 2020ish and now on Netflix.

I don't like horrors so hadn't been tempted until I saw that Dolly Wells was in it (she plays a female Van Helsing.)

It's very good, written by Stepehn Moffat and Mark Gatiss.

Currently trying out Call My Agent after recommendations on a thread about subtitled dramas.

Dontjudgeme101 · 11/09/2022 08:37

I love Sister wivies. It’s so interesting. It’s very addictive to watch. There’s no way, that l could be ‘married’ to a husband with 3 other wivies!! It’s just not right!

Remmy123 · 12/09/2022 20:37

Bodies on Netfkix - loved it!

JaneJeffer · 12/09/2022 20:38

Home Fires, but apparently it ended on a cliffhanger and wasn't renewed.

I'm ploughing my way through The Good Wife at the moment, I'm on series three, it's good and quite long, looks like 7 series.

I started watching The Good Wife last year. Really enjoyed it at first, but gave up around series 4/5 as got fed up of all the political stuff, and some of the characters are sooo annoying (Michael J Fox in particular)

cheapskatemum · 12/09/2022 21:03

Acklam Bridge: it's a drama series about 2 schools that merge in a northern town. One had mainly white pupils & the other had mainly Asian pupils. I'm loving it so far.

Where are you watching Rev? I really wanted to watch it when it was first on TV, but just didn't have the time then.

MrsLargeEmbodied · 12/09/2022 22:05

rev is on iplayer

HeidiWhole · 12/09/2022 22:09

Bones
Brooklyn 99

Both have zilllions of episodes too

CoffeeIsForClosers · 12/09/2022 22:34

I got a 3-month free trial of Apple+ and have been loving the very weird and Black Mirror-esque Severance! So good.

Also watching Ted Lasso and I like it a lot, although it veered perilously close to mawkish in the Christmas episode (and I am someone with a high tolerance for Christmas nonsense). Back on track now, though.

MrsFezziwig · 12/09/2022 23:21

I wasn’t going to mention The West Wing as I thought it would be too well known, but then realised it is 23 years old so some people may be too young to have heard of it (which makes me feel really old!). I didn’t watch it when it was first aired, but then someone lent me the box set and I binge watched it (seven series). Brilliant script (Aaron Sorkin) and a fascinating look at the American political system.

I’ve just started watching My Family on iPlayer and am enjoying it. I never watched any of it, all eleven series or so, when it was running. Perfect, silly, comfort tv. I’m going to go back and rewatch Him and Her at some point too.
