Gameface on All4, it's years old but great, very funny, only discovered it. Another funny one that sadly only got one series - Wasted. (Sean Bean appears in it as someone's spirit guide, he is so funny in it. ) Forgot about Drifters, just rewatched an old episode of it, a good laugh (very cringe in places, the main character Meg is so awkward and her facial expressions are hilarious). There are so many good programmes on All4.
I also just rewatched London Irish, (Derry Girls writer's first offering), it's soo funny in parts, didn't get great reviews as it was probably a bit too mental for some and did really stereotype us Irish, but in a usually very funny way that is partly based on truth (you can see elements of some of these characters in some of the Derry Girls characters too). If you enjoyed the wake episode in Derry Girls you've got to see the wake episode in this - WAAAY more crazy and wacky, very funny (but warning, lots of bad language and close to the bone jokes, definitely not for everyone and probably wouldn't get made now!)
Also here's a very late to the party one... I am currently working my way through all the episodes of Friends in order. I never watched it much when it was first out as it was on a Friday night and I was always out partying . Obviously have seen tonnes of episodes over the years but not in any particular order - it must be the most shown and most repeated show ever? I haven't shown much interest in it before but it's actually quite satisfying to work through it in order. When I get to the end I'll watch the reunion. I'm nearly at the end of the penultimate season. (BTW there's a really funny joke in Gameface about a guy who's never seen Friends...)
These are all my recent light-hearted programmes, I like to have a light-hearted or silly show to work through gradually, it can be a nice night-time destresser. Also have been enjoying Cobra Kai and sometimes I'll have a more serious one on the go too, I've been meaning to start Ozark for a while now.
I did a "late to the party" viewing of Poldark... just started it before the last series came out a few years ago and watched the whole thing. Also Schitt's Creek and Peaky Blinders... I watched these 2 while breastfeeding. My baby daughter got to really love the theme of Schitt's Creek at the time. It was a lovely light hearted and funny watch.
