Couldn't see that there was a thread for this so come hither and place mark in readiness for tomorrow's first episode!

If my memory is correct they were quite expensive about £40 I think which around what 15 years ago? Was not cheap.

Onlinedilema · 07/01/2022 15:05

Oh wow Chemenger that's great.

longwayoff · 07/01/2022 15:09

Oh yes, the Wolf Spirit lives on in Feltham W London. Frequently seen in Asda.

Teen DD was cringing at the constant use of Boujie (actually spelt boujee). She said it’s the kind of word used on Instagram or in drill
songs but not ever said in real life.

thecatsthecats · 07/01/2022 15:31

I agree that the men's logo was a few tweaks away from being better. I'd have done a mermaid in the cobra position, and called it Tranquilisea. Then nixed the age range, and focus on the wellbeing aspect of the cruise.

For the girls, I sort of think Bouji could have worked better if a) she had been able to explain it and b) they had done the orange/social/instawanker centred marketing that was her original premise.

Even without being able to explain it, she wasn't using it right. It's instawanker slang for luxurious hipster touches to anything, not a specific activity. The last "bouji" thing I did was freeze my own home grown herb garnishes into icecubes for gin.

ArblemarzipanTFruitcake · 07/01/2022 17:08

One problem with the men's logo was that it was hand-drawn so not a regular curve. They'd have done better to use a drawing tool to get a perfect curve and then added the waves and toes. & as was said on the show, if the wave bit had been blue it would have been clearer what was going on. Also if they'd put a head and torso going into the wave, rather than a leg and foot.

DD said she wouldn't go on a cruise with the turd vomit monster in case it came to get her in her bed.

Absolutely loved this- as in car crash entertainment. My colleagues and fellow shit tv connoisseurs debriefed today and agree with all comments.

We love Shama. We are from various backgrounds and work in Leeds/ Bradford and she is just like someone we know. She just exemplifies no-nonsense, educated muslim women who have a sense of humour and just gets on with things. She is older, experienced, a mum of 5 and owns and runs nurseries in Bradford. She should walk this because she is a proper grown up!

Too many bum wipes down the flusher and that thing is definitely coming out of the loo for you!
AlexaShutUp · 08/01/2022 00:24

Just caught up on Episode 1 tonight...omg, they were all horrendous but hilarious! Loved it!

YourenutsmiLord · 08/01/2022 06:18

Why don't the PM tell others they can't diss the ideas/ plan wihtout coming up with another option - so Shama was very negative, rightly so but if you cancel the present idea you could end up with nothing and that would be a definite lose.

LavenderAskew · 08/01/2022 07:54

Managed to find the episode. Well ...

They are all awful aren't they. I'm not sure there was even any quite ones who might emerge halfway in and end victorious.

The men might have just got on with it and banged thier puffed out chests against each other. The macho attempts to dominate (not sure of that big guy - Aaron maybe - has ever experienced someone telling him no to his ideas. He was quite put out looking. Even Waistcoat is very vocal despite looking 12 and like he should be a nervous nerd!!

Women are slightly less trying to mark thier place, so but no one wants to listen do they!

It annoys me when the markert research bit comes after they have locked in the ideas, but then again would it make a difference if they had it before and could change!! Though even with it being after you'd have thought they'd have used it to prepare answers for the questions they will be asked during their pitch based off the comments from the people asked about it.

@Pebbledashery

I'm cringing at the body con dresses
Aren't they ghastly? Obligatory spike heels as well. I've spotted a white pair
Maireas · 08/01/2022 09:05

@Pebbledashery

Colour psychology lol
"I've done a course in that" Of course you have, pet.
Maireas · 08/01/2022 09:17

I intend to find out what pharmacy Mavis works in, and ask for advice with a gastro-intestinal problem. I will show him the logo.

Maireas · 08/01/2022 09:18

Shama is definitely the best so far, although to be fair it's a low bar.
Extra points for dressing like people do in 2022.

Most definitely. Although digging Pharmacist’s Versace PJs so 80s but damn that silk!! I want some
Maireas · 08/01/2022 09:28

I think Mavis may well be the most interesting dresser. I shall look forward to his eventide casual wear.

RenGreen · 08/01/2022 09:29

Cable knit for a pitch…

Maireas · 08/01/2022 09:33

I didn't realise Kathryn sells pyjamas for a living. There's an opportunity just screaming out to be taken with Mavis.

She’s my fave!!

Best comment on the CV is surely from Akshay "sleeping is a waste of time".
Brilliant.

Exhausteddog · 08/01/2022 09:35

I've come to the conclusion that the apprentice has essentially a costumes department, or dressing up box containing several bodycon dresses, high heels, lairy waistcoats, false beards, false eyelashes, fake , wire glasses and few more unusual items. The first task (not televised) is that they all compete, in a limited time, to select the best/worst outfit - a bit like drag race!Grin

Exhausteddog · 08/01/2022 09:36

Fake teeth that should say!

Haggisfish3 · 08/01/2022 09:36

Can’t wait for next weeks episode now!
