Anyone watching yet? I'm 3 episodes in, liking it so far but starting to get slightly confused by there being so many characters.

I love James Nesbitt Blush

unfollowme absolutely! Ridiculous that she would "disappear" on the doorstep of where she was disappearing from.
Those Harlen Coben things always leave me feeling a bit dirty. They're gripping but vacuous.

I think there are more than three already made because a couple are in French. I watched a French one recently but can't remember what it was called and have seen another French one advertised.

Yes, having relationships with people you've met on duty! Psd would be interested...

I've just finished it, did Lorraine admit to killing Carlton?! That confused me a bit, why would she admit that.

I enjoyed it but guessed the murderer really early on.

I liked the ending, Cassie still had a bloody big secret to keep!!

Girliefriendlikespuppies · 25/01/2022 22:27

I also thought when Ken went after Lorraine he might have bitten off more than he can chew there 😬😁

And I was right!!

@DickMabutt73962

I read somewhere that Netflix signed a deal with Coben to make 14 books into series? If so, that's a lot to look forward to if we're only 3 down so far

@Violetroselily sorry if this has already been said but more than 3 have been adapted so far; some have been developed in foreign languages, The Woods is in Polish and The Innocent is in Spanish, though I haven't seen that one. So there are more for you to watch already!

There is a French adaptation of Gone for Good on Netflix. I’ve read the book and but when I watched it could make no sense of it, it seemed to bear no relation to the book!

She saw that he was being a perve donned her black perve killing outfit and when she left the club to do him she saw that the daughter and her friend putting him in the boot of the car

So my reading of it was that she knew it was them and she was obviously screwed anyway so she confessed to one more to save her.

@whywouldntyou Has Robert Crais stopped writing? I keep on checking Fantastic Fiction, but nothing new since 2019, and no indication of anything in the works.

Love Elvis Cole and Joe Pike.

JanisMoplin · 26/01/2022 19:08

This was such utter shite. I watched it because I love Cush Jumbo, but it made no sense at all. And what a waste of Richard Armitage's hotness covering him in tattoos and making him look so rough. The tone kept changing; it was like the director couldn't decide whether to make it a comedy or a thriller.

Oh and I guessed the killer about halfway through. Quite obvious.

Me too. Joe Pike is one sexy badass!

XelaM · 09/02/2022 14:56

This was such trash. Completely nonsensical story and bad acting from the leads. Nothing made any sense and I guessed the murderer

DrDinosaur · 05/03/2022 15:30

I've just finished watching, I loved it!
I don't usually like crime dramas, but I really enjoyed this. I like the huge houses and the bright colours - I'm watching for entertainment, not gritty grey realism. I also liked the Stranger, but thought the ending was better in this. I predicted the killer from about episode 7, but was still very satisfying.
I love the Blackchesterpool setting - enjoyed seeing the Dream in this.

DrDinosaur · 05/03/2022 15:52

I think the Dream in St Helens is actually a much more romantic location than a tacky giant elephant.
