Sorry bit late to the party - I make caramel as part of my job and was also wondering why they were all stirring it as that’s caramel 101! But it all seemed to work out ok so maybe I’m just too worried about it!

I’ve had one or two malfunctions too in the early days! Nothing worse than building a lovely tower, putting it in the fridge and then going back to find the profiteroles leaping off the top lemming style. Luckily I’ve got the hang of it now.

Anyone know what this weeks Bake Off theme is? Seems like they’ve introduced lots of new ones this year.

Ah just saw someone said it’s free from week. Not sure how that’s going to make good viewing tbh, as it’s all about making it as close as possible to a regular cake taste and texture, so as a viewer, not very exciting.

They’ve done free from week several times before so not a new idea.
