I like ice cream sandwiches. You used to be able to get nice Ben and Jerrys' one but they changed them.

The ones they are making are American. We'd have more like wafers here.

I like mushroom. And chutney. And most bought pastry is vegan. So why do these seem so unappetising?

For me, the whole point of sausage rolls is that you make one long one and cut them to size.
If you are chopping the pastry into squares, you might as well make pasties.
