GBBO Caramel week! 2021 #2 thread

New thread for tonight. Will they have to replicate a Tunnock's product? Creme caramel? Can't think what else they might have to do.

I think what was wrong was they were doing the cuts in pastry before the roll

I can make sausage rolls. Only thing I can bake apart from chocolate cake

Oh and samosas

For me, the whole point of sausage rolls is that you make one long one and cut them to size. If you are chopping the pastry into squares, you might as well make pasties.
True that. Usually you do big long sheet bought pastry and cut it once sausage is in

And I've never heard of making the slits in the pastry first. No wonder some of them spread out.
