Whew. The countries going to pot but the posh ones are unwavering. They always look at their best after a bit of a summer holiday.

Miles, no ones falling for it. But yo, is that Moanie about to be single (ish) again?

Love Maeva. James is punching.

Verity is an arse.
Rubehrubehrubehrubehhhhh is a whinging arse.
L’il Sameh is a colossal arse.
Jules is a riven with resentment arse.
Rez is a deluded arse.
Miles is a stirring arse.
Tiff is just an arse.

I am a truthful arse.

Hotyogahotchoc · 28/12/2021 09:55

@SheldonesqueTheBstard I thought the surrogate just didn't get pregnant not that they'd lost a baby or am I way behind??

SheldonesqueTheBstard · 28/12/2021 10:03

You are a wee bit behind flower.

Christmas episode suggested surrogate lost the little one several weeks after they filmed the Liv godmother bit/announcement.

vjg13 · 28/12/2021 10:47

I missed that too and watched the "Christmas" episode!

SheldonesqueTheBstard · 28/12/2021 12:35

I actually think Ollie and whatshisname would be good parents

That is as maybe.

However, I do not care much for them chopsing on about creating style boards and how they can’t wait to go shopping when discussing the awaited child.

They are talking like it is an accessory to dress up and parade about.

It is understandable that their misty eyes are looking through rose tinted spectacles when they are imagining the ‘end product’.

As long as they know they are about to get a swift hoof up the arse from the boot of reality.

Noshowlomo · 28/12/2021 12:45

Hahaha preach @SheldonesqueTheBstard!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼

Arses all round

beastlyslumber · 28/12/2021 15:35

I find the surrogacy storyline just quite horrible tbh. The thought of a tiny baby being taken away from its mum and handed over to two men... Just why is that necessary? It must be so traumatising for baby, if not for mum. Why can't they adopt a baby or even an older child?

I agree as well, they talk about it like it's a lifestyle choice, photo opportunity and something to dress up and show off.

I also hate the way that they said "we're pregnant" NO YOU'RE NOT because that's impossible you stupid rich wankers.

On another note, I was glad to see Mark Francis and Lady V slagging off the common people and complaining about fatties in Mykonos. Highly offensive, but if MiC goes woke I'll have to stop watching. I might have to stop watching if they're going to showcase the 'buy a baby' storyline again next season anyway.

SheldonesqueTheBstard · 28/12/2021 16:49

I can’t disagree with much of what you write slumber

I did chuckle at the fatties in Mykonos line though. MF and Stickyvicky would be speechless at me I’m sure.

I couldn’t give a flying early 19th century harp. 🤗

To be fair, I find the pursuit of an accessory storyline more offensive. I am not sure I want to watch that.

I’m on telly and rich and entitled and I want I want I want.

They may be able to pay the price but will never ever know the true cost.

sashagabadon · 28/12/2021 17:21

Sam Prince is behaving oddly, saying completely opposite things about inga and verity. As a pp mentioned upthread are they trying to create another Jamie. What has he done to his face? It looks so odd, in between his eyebrows and eyes and his teeth Confused
Is MiC going woke?! I want to watch it for the nonsense not shoehorned in discussions about Its a Sin ( which was a great show but how random discussing it with your mates months after it was on the telly)
And yes agree with the surrogate comments. Fan fave Louise Thompson has just had a very very difficult birth, in hospital for weeks apparently and so that should bring home the message giving birth is a dangerous activity for mothers and not to be treated like it’s popping to the shops.

beastlyslumber · 28/12/2021 17:40

Oh I agree completely. Sorry if I wasn't clear - I also liked the Mark F and Lady V convo and found it funny, but find the whole buy a baby storyline offensive and awful.

Is MiC going woke?! I want to watch it for the nonsense not shoehorned in discussions about Its a Sin

I fear it might be succumbing to wokeness... I suppose these are more or less exactly the woke demographic, aren't they? Young, posh, privileged and nothing better to do than wang on about anything that might distract attention from the scads of family money and old boys' network etc.

That's why I was so happy to hear Mark F and Lady V having a vile conversation about the fat commoners. I want my stuck up toffs to be hideous snobs and not pretending to be social justice warriors!

SheldonesqueTheBstard · 28/12/2021 18:29

Its a Sin was fabulous. Quite how they need to mention it on MIC though I don’t know. And then to mention HIV?

Shoehorning issues is unnecessary. I don’t want you to be social justice warriors. I am all to aware of the difficulties people face. We all have our own various crosses to bear.

I want to see you nipping off to the south of France or Portofino and sooking up there sun on a monsteryacht for shits and giggles.
As I slob on a settee in an Oodie and a pair of jammie bottoms.

I’m not saying people’s experiences or issues aren’t important - but I watch for the escape. How the other half live if you will. And watching them quaff cocktails with gay abandon while I stay dry for fear of being called into work.

It is frippery. And I like frippery. I need sometime to not think.

They may not be aware you get documentaries on freeview. Is this why they insist on the shoehorns?

I didn’t know about Tiny Tears. Are they both ok?

DaddysToBe think on.

sashagabadon · 28/12/2021 18:40

Exactly Sheldon. Me too, I want posh antics in the south of France or bluebird in Chelsea.
And why Paris had to continually wonder out loud whether her new beaus Irish family were going to be racist or not was weird. Not seen that before Confused Almost like she considered anyone outside of London and Ireland in particular to be racist unless proved otherwise Hmm
I think Tiny Tears is fine but it did sound like a hideous birth with them both rushed off to different ICU’s ( from what the daily mail said anyway)

SheldonesqueTheBstard · 28/12/2021 18:59

Aye - I understand what Paris has encountered but I save my worry until folk give me cause to question their attitude. Sweeping generalisations help no-one.

I’m not saying attitudes like the one she feared don’t exist because they bloody do. But, for the record, I don’t expect anyone to be accepting of anything - culture, colour, class, employment. Just me. Just accept me.

But again, I suspect it had to be shoehorned in. I don’t think MIC will enable change with a two minute equally prejudicial whine.

Glad to hear TT and her wee one are fine/on the mend though. Poor buggers.

Hotyogahotchoc · 28/12/2021 20:22

Why Tiny Tears? Grin

Hotyogahotchoc · 28/12/2021 20:23

I'm at the bit where Liv et Al set up Ruby and Rez so they had to talk at dinner. Ruby is awful. Then cries because it's clear she's been a twat.

I'm feeding baby so maybe watch more if he'll stop fussing...

SheldonesqueTheBstard · 28/12/2021 22:09

Tiny tears?

Back in the day she was quite weepy. And she’s teeny tiny. 😃

sweatervest · 28/12/2021 22:13

tt has had her baby but she was in intensive care and so was the new recruit (her baby).

i still haven't watched monday's episode yet. but am still knee deep in vogue, spenny and theodore on netflix at the moment

lightisnotwhite · 28/12/2021 22:13

I found Paris wondering if his family were racist a bit odd too. Surely if you’re dating someone you discuss stuff like this ? Most people’s parents are going to be outwardly polite, so surely she would ask Killian whether his parents would have an issue with her colour.
Also ( possibly controversial) isn’t the whole point of being properly posh that you don’t give a shit what other people think of you?

The Sam storyline was stupid. Far too obvious. Miles does it much better, hes stringing Ruby along a treat.

I expected better of Binkys mum with the surrogacy storyline. There no reason to not adopt.Although Ollie is so self absorbed I think he’ll struggle with parenthood.

OP posts:
Hotyogahotchoc · 29/12/2021 00:59

I'm on episode 10

There's a lot of Ruby being a twat and then explaining why she's not a twat

Maeva and Verity's argument was funny

Maeva looks like her mum

BasiliskStare · 29/12/2021 03:10

@SheldonesqueTheBstard - I shouted at the TV when they said they had lost their child - no you haven''t a woman you asked to have a child for you has lost her child ( & I think on MiC this is the 2nd time ) And my son said when he was at college one tutor said to him "we're pregnant " and Ds just thought - no you aren't , your wife is pregnant. ( Not to say you cannot be a very good father )

It reminds me of the old saying - with bacon and eggs the chicken is involved , the pig is committed

Hotyogahotchoc · 29/12/2021 08:55

Was it using their spell though? As then I suppose it is their child too?

I agree they could just adopt and ab article I read about wanting to go to the US and what they had to do instead just made me think they are using their money to buy a baby as I imagine IVF in the US must be v expensive.

Downunderduchess · 29/12/2021 09:30

Have yet to see this most recent series, but I bloody love this show, against my better judgement!!

For me there will never be a more beautiful looking guy than Proudlock, absolute stunner of the show & a lovely guy. Also I really liked Freddie Browne, he always had something interesting/intelligent to say.

Sophie is magnificent! Love her commentary.

Verity, not at all. Too disingenuous.

Miles is his own true love.

mycatisannoying · 29/12/2021 09:44

Sam Prick was always a wee dick, and always will be.
I'd happily wipe the smirk off his shiny face!
Ex teacher here, and I get very bad pupil vibes from him.

SheldonesqueTheBstard · 29/12/2021 10:08

Sam is probably still a pupil somewhere.

He is only 12.
