Wow. I just caught up with the first 3 episodes. Maeva is totally batshit! She's seriously going to sleep with Miles to "teach James a lesson"?! That's outrageous. James was a twat for kissing someone else and then gloating about it to Maeva but he doesn't deserve that level of revenge from her. It's pretty sick actually. Plus Miles is a poor, poor choice. Of course he's going to sleep with her (I hope he doesn't) but it will be once and then he'll run for the hills when he realises she thinks that they are back together again. Maeva likes to think she's the cool sexy girl but she's needy AF.

I thought Liv was really great during this last episode in particular. She seemed very rational, mature and concerned for her friends rather than just caught up in her own drama. Surely a first for MIC? I don't blame her for snarking at Tristan's new GF when she had the audacity to laugh at Liv's comment about being stuck with the new GF on a girls night. It wasn't a cool move.

I don't know what to think about the whole Ollie/Gareth/surrogacy situation. If I'm honest, it makes me uncomfortable & I think that's because of the way they have discussed it; almost like it's a given that someone is going to have a baby for them.

I like Maeva (I like the drama) but she's insane. I think she just really wants to get back with Miles, the slimeball. I think James is a narcissist as well, though. Then again, pretty much every single character on this show seems to be on the narcissistic spectrum.

I hate the whole surrogacy storyline. It's so weird. Like they want to order a baby and the order's not been fulfilled and it's all so upsetting... They don't seem like they would be amazing parents tbh. It's just another designer accessory for them.

I am very disappointed in Harvey. Emily should kick him out.

oh gosh yes, the Harvey situation. He's a total muppet. Completely wet. And yet tries to be so laddy with the other male muppets. Emily should definitely kick him out. Plenty of people manage to go out with their mates and not get talking to a member of the opposite sex. That's because you are out with your mates. Not out on the pull.

he doesn't mind being the scape goat i don't think as it means he has lots of air time whereas sam thompson is totally on the periphery (long word for me to use in context) as zara apparently refused to do mic any more because she was getting trolled so much.

I can’t understand why Sam is still in it. He’s so irrelevant to any of the storylines & he’s beyond irritating with his constant “Maaaate” attempting to be a posh geezer & kissing Rez’s ass. FFS I’m so over invested in this show 😂

And Maeva - I know her braces are off, but something is up with her teeth too. And she is so very skinny now… she doesn’t look like herself at all.

I’m totally over-invested in the spectacle that is MIC.

Clearly they are all manufacturing stuff for the cameras but Maeve has taken it to a bonkers level this season. She’s just ended a stable two year relationship that she claims to care about for the sake of histrionic screen time. I think James keeps smirking at her because it’s flagrantly ridiculous.

I think Marc Francis has been replaced by Replica Mark Francis (aka Robbie). I also agree that Ollie and Gareth see surrogacy was a way to obtain the latest accessory they feel entitled to. And I’m increasingly depressed by the level of Botox / awkward veneers / boob jobs that prevail each season. Also the identikit women they endlessly manage to drum up (see: Inge
and the latest Canadian one who proudly boasted that she has no public hair).

And god yes, Harvey’s teeth are a big mistake!

Maeva is just using revenge sex with Miles as an excuse to get back with Miles without making it look like she is trying to get back with Miles.
She's been obsessed with him from day 1. I think really she will sleep with him, letting on it is to sicken James when in reality she is hoping Miles will fall back in love with her.
Which he won't.

I used to hate James. But he has really grown on me. He deserves better than Maeva, as long as she is still pining after Miles.

And yes @Missusblusky1Missusblusky1 Liv and Tristian were back together. Although I have a feeling they may have split again.

This is a terrible thing to admit but I watch it and am fascinated by how I will be struck by someone’s staggering beauty, how they are so charismatic etc… then next season I’m like.. that yoke?? What was I thinking?! And then they come back into favour again! Ah life….

I just got caught up on episode 3. Oh julius, it’s like I hold him in contempt. I have to suppress a rage when he has a scene!

Julius is a wrong un. On the plus side, Verity is so charming and she crushes his hopes in such a beautiful way. It's like a sword so sharp you don't realise you've been cut until you stand up and your head falls off.

Oh Julius is an utter tool 😂 Verity, however, gives me the rage 😂 I don’t find her charming at all. Irritatingly peppy is how I describe it! I think she’s constantly holding back for something better. She has this totally fake self-deprecating, “oh what? Me?” Little Girl demeanour. And her posh drawl is so irritating. Just open your bloody mouth properly when you speak! Clearly I need to take a breath & calm down 😂

Hahaha! God, they are all so obnoxious when looked at from the right angle, aren't they? Is there a single one of them you'd want to be mates with in real life? I mean, Maeva, because she's so entertainingly deranged - but I think I'd reach my limit with her quite quickly, too. Maybe the German princess whose name I've forgotten... she's quite funny.

Oh yes Sophie I would definitely happily hang out with. I see us watching all the batshit lot from a safe distance & having a running commentary like a Greek chorus!!

I hope Verity and Julius disappear off into the sunset together, never to be seen again. Both of them irritate me so, so much. Julius is completely deluded and cringey.
Verity is so utterly pleased with herself.

I actually think Liv would be good fun to hang out with.

i am just back from two days in sw3 and didn't see any of them :O(. sad face.

MF (what awful initials) is still on holiday somewhere. according to his instagram. "last of the summer sun" or something like that whilst he looks effortlessly fabulous and he's abroad. guv.

i don't rate any of the boys any more. i miss spenny and candy kittens and prooders (as i would call him should i meet him).

I agree about the boys @sweatervest Towards the end of Spenny's run on MIC I thought he was a twat but actually I'd rather him & Jamie again than this shower. Even Stevie & Andy were better fun...and I have to admit to having had a teensy crush on Stevie.

Overall, none of them really have a strong personality do they? The majority of the original cast for the first few seasons were strong characters individually. The only ones I would describe like that now are Sophie, Maeva, Liv, Fred & Ollie. The rest of them all merge into a generic & dull persona. Being a shit-stirrer (Tiff) or a would-be singer-songwriter (Julius) does not make you an interesting watch.

Maeve just makes herself look like a tit. James is best off out of it. She never fell out of love with Miles anyway.
Angus looks like he'd speak with a really broad Essex or East End accent. He doesn't have the refined, well-bred looks of the others.
Angus, if you're reading, I'm in the market for a new secondhand car!
