I can understand when they’re dancing, the hands all over thing. I find it odd, just as Sophie Ellis-Bextor said, that they stand there cuddling, holding hands, stroking each other etc at other times, like interviews. I couldn’t handle that as their spouse/partner

I think if it was DH I'd struggle even with the dances, I suppose it's the same as acting though. Watching your other half simulate sex/snogging their co star, maybe you get used to it?

Stacey split up with her ex not long after Christmas and got together with Kevin after that. 🤷‍♀️ From what I've read her ex is happily partnered up with someone else and they have a baby son.

No judgement from me, people break up / meet new partners at work all the time. It's no different for celebs, except they often have to put up with having their names dragged through the mud by scummy newspapers.

I really hope that none of the married ones get together. I would hope Adam has more sense and morals.

I get that spending so much time with someone and having to dance very close etc can make them seem attractive but if you have a strong and loving relationship it would not break it.

I would totally 100% trust my DH with any of the female dancers and I know I wouldn't cheat even if I was with one of the gorgeous males.

I wouldn't be surprised. I mean it is actually a workplace so they can absolutely say no relationships allowed as it definitely affected the strictly ideal when Katya kissed Sean. 🤮

But not everyone has a job that involves having their hands all over a work 'partner' all day. Or has to spend that amount of time alone with them , and under a lot of pressure. It has to make a difference surely.

Really hope not John and Johannes, he has been with his partner for 13 years and through some tough times, it would be beyond unfair of him .

None of us on here knows anything for sure, apart from what those involved say and it's worth noting that even the ex-boyfriend hasn't claimed he was cheated on before they split. Like I said, people break up / meet new partners all the time in less high profile surroundings. Doesn't give anyone carte blanche to pass uninformed judgement or aspersions imo.

I guess this isn't really the thread for me, but I don't take kindly to be labelled as naive just because I don't automatically assume the worst of people I don't know. 🤷‍♀️

The false Ranvir rumours last year made her feel really awkward I think. It’s difficult when you have children who are old enough to know what’s being said. I know she was single, but it’s still tough to read untruths about yourself, even if you have chosen to make yourself one of the most high-profile people in the country (for a few months, anyway).

I think that SCD did Louise Redknapp a lot of good. Her marriage to that tomcat seemed pretty dismal.

Isn't the point of dancing well to make the audience believe you have chemistry with your dance partner in much the same way as an actor would act being in love?
The fact people think they look like they have a connection is because they are pretending to have? Like Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze? In RL they weren't that keen on one another apparently.

@JasonMomoasgirlfriend Without wanting to come across as if I'm riding into this thread on a high horse, let me put it this way: if you were in a long-term relationship and found yourself unexpectedly falling head over heels for someone you were working closely with, would you automatically jump into bed with them or would you try to see if your relationship could be saved?? I know what I would do and I choose to credit Stacey Dooley with having made the same choice.

It's not "common sense" to assume that celebs are some sort of different species who will automatically hop in and out of each others knickers at the drop of a hat. The point I was trying (and obviously failing!) to get across was that all the signs were that Stacey finished Strictly, went home and tried to make a go of it with her ex, but not long after Christmas they split. It's only tabloid gossip that's skewed a perfectly common situation into something sordid & sleazy. IMHO it's mainly because they use the so-called "Strictly curse" as clickbait and a way to tarnish the reputation of the show/the BBC.

I can’t see how any relationship could be saved if one member is head over heels for someone else.

I imagine that SCD generates so much chemistry between dancing partners that a lot of jumping into bed with them happens.

Lust is a very strong emotion and in some circumstances I do think in the heat of the moment it wins over love.

I think Gio is feeling very protective towards Rose , she's so sweet and innocent looking . What decent man wouldn't be protective towards her.
