I don’t get any Nikita and Tilly vibes.

I don’t get vibes between AJ and his dancer, whose name I can’t remember.

At one point, when Tess was talking to the camera, I could see Oti and Ugi in the background looking a little bit flirty.

I’m not sure about John and Johannes. I think Johannes is too pure of heart to be involved in cheating.

If I had to put my money on anyone it would be Rose and Giovanni.

I would actually love Rose and Giovanni (sorry Maura) but Rose just has that something about her and it's so sweet to see the guidance from Gio throughout the dance. I was a bit worried about Dan Walker as he seems to constantly compliment Nadiya but it could just be his nice personality (I'd be curbing that if I was his wife 🤣)

The only thing with Gio and Rose is her interpreter is at training 24-7. Could be a good control for Maura 🤣

I think Tilly was just looking to Nikita for moral support and encouragement. It was obvious that she was incredibly nervous and insecure.

You do realise it's not a real curse and that those who cheat on partners would have done it anyway? We don't know what goes on in celebrities love lives because we don't really know them. He's not just suddenly going to fall in love with someone else and change his personality and morals to cheat on his wife. If he does do that, he'd have done it anyway, not because of a TV show. I suppose most male celebrities get plenty of opportunities to cheat with beautiful women.

I know you all think this is just a bit of fun, but just to remind you that these are real people with real life partners who might be upset to read this thread and start seeing issues where there are none. Speculation like this can be really upsetting and feed into paranoia and damage relationships.

I don’t know how the celebs and their partners cope with such insensitive gossip.

I think John's been going out with the same boyfriend since before he was on the Bake Off, so I would say it's unlikely.

I don't know if it's actually as common as the papers say, they make a lot up based on dancers being comfortable in each other's personal space, and obviously you're working towards the same goal and spending a lot of time together.

Having said that, I was asked out by 3 of 4 straight male dance partners.

It hasn't been particularly 'curse' type romance recently, except for Seannnnn and Katya most of the romance has been between single people.

It must be hard not to fall at least a little in love, they spend so much intense time together that there must be a bit of trauma bonding. Plus the pros are physically perfect and beautiful, so much so that the viewing public have crushes not them, so how much harder must it be not to have a crush when you're pressed up against them in dance training.

I also think Tilly was looking for reassurance and also that Nikita won't want to get "in trouble" in his first series. They may do a bit of flirting for votes but it won't be real.

John and Johannes have fab chemistry but I think John seems really committed to his long term partner and has already mentioned him and his support.

To be fair, it's not really been the curse since Kristina Rhianoff (sp?) left - she was the one who seemed to get with all her partners (at least those that were under 40!)

Did you read Sophie Ellis Bextor's take on it in the papers this weekend? It was interesting to read the impact on her relationship and how insecure her husband felt (even though he had no reason to).

Not really seeing anything curse like this year. I hope it doesn't end up like that year with Katya and Seann. Once that happened the press got all over strictly making up any kind of bullshit to sell papers and it completely ruined it for me.

The only thing that stood out was how Nadija was very complimentary to Dan, but he does seem like a decent guy and probably has some potential in the future. It's a nice change for Nadija!

I would always say Gio as a potential curse, purely because he has met a lot of people through the show hasn't he, but if he is coupled up, I can't see that happening.

Although I understand how it might happen. If you spend all week with a guys crotch pressed against your foof and you're playing a role where you're pretending to fancy them, eventually you might convince yourself you do.
