I doubt it - it would need other people to know above the pregnancy and if other people (especially the authorities) knew you couldn't just shrug your shoulders and say I dunno when you were asked where the baby is. Adoption seems like a far more likely outcome in that situation.

Toffee I noticed that Steve's dad said something like "I didn't know you'd been born" which to me implied that he did know there was a pregnancy but had thought/assumed that there had been an abortion.

Indeed. So, he knew he had got a woman pregnant but didn't know/didn't care about the outcome.

He looked sheepish. Guilty, even. Nicky Campbell didn't really believe him.

Too bad they will never get both sides of the story. It's not a good idea, in most cases, to get both parents together and interview them both at the same time. Or let them talk and discuss what happened. So it can be broadcast as part of the t.v. show.

It's a followup show. Mum and daughter reunited after 48 years and then she had a massive stroke 😭😭😭😭

He was brave to appear I think but I found him very uncomfortable to watch.

I understand what you mean but he’s done the right thing so let’s not judge him. I like the fact he brought family photos when he met his daughter. I’ve never seen pictures of my grandfathers, who both died before I was born, so I think that would have been tremendously helpful to see actual people.
