Another case of two sister foundlings. This is so sad.behy did the mother do this and why give all false stuff...i think that makes it harder finding out its all fake

Horehound · 26/05/2021 21:33

Omg both parents!!

RedHotChiliChips · 26/05/2021 21:34

@CoronaBanana

Omg poor bloke, first he's a rapist now he's a paedo Grin
He's also possibly guilty of incest. Well, according to some (very) deranged posts here.
Horehound · 26/05/2021 21:39

Crying for steve

Pebbledashery · 26/05/2021 21:39

Absolutely crying for him

Davina annoys me. She delivered a sentence and doesn't follow up. Waits for the person to say something before she delivers the next thing...argh

Feel sorry for Steve with the letter..

Pebbledashery · 26/05/2021 21:43

He's the spit of his dad tbh.

OP posts:
Horehound · 26/05/2021 21:46

Yes he is!
The birth mum said it was a nasty situation...so intrigued to know what happened. The dad said he was not in a good place and had to go away...I take it that means prison time?

Pebbledashery · 26/05/2021 21:47

Yep. He went to slammer town I'm guessing.

OP posts:
Topsyair · 26/05/2021 21:47

Does Steve have an issue with his hand?

Pebbledashery · 26/05/2021 21:48

I couldn't fathom how hard it must've been to leave a child behind.. I would never judge anyone who was in that situation, especially now as a mother. Must've been utterly heartbreaking but in some way comforting to know they would hopefully go on to have a better life. So very sad.

I bet Steve was hitting more knowing the mother had seen his plea to find her and she still didn't contact him.
Also "blessed be" Hmm

Horehound · 26/05/2021 21:53

Omg those beach photos!!

Horehound · 26/05/2021 21:54

Omg!

Serpenta · 26/05/2021 21:55

I think the letter Steve's birth mother was lovely. Who knows what kind of position she's in, mental health wise. Maybe she's just not strong enough to meet him. The lighting of the candle on his birthday and the 'blessed be' would just suggest to me that she has a religious faith.

Better to have that letter than to have an unsatisfactory reunion.

Horehound · 26/05/2021 21:58

True
Yes the candle thing was nice. I just felt there was something a bit unfeeling but you are right in what you say.

Sandra15 · 26/05/2021 23:06

I love watching this but as a viewer it seems very half baked as we only get half the story. I understand the situations are sensitive ones but it feels unsatisfying.

Steve's dad looked to have had a hard paper round too. He looked a lot older than his age.

DigOutThoseLemonHandWipes · 26/05/2021 23:28

"Steve's dad looked to have had a hard paper round too. He looked a lot older than his age."

He getting am easy ride compared to yesterday's birth father who has been accused of all sorts. Considering how many men walk away from children they do know about he seems to have found himself as public enemy number one.

Topsyair · 27/05/2021 10:02

When the mothers are found are they ever interviewed by the police or is it all done on the proviso that no charges are brought?

Horehound · 27/05/2021 10:04

There's a follow up show tonight I think.

Horehound · 27/05/2021 10:07

Yes probably because he has been married for 25 years and has two daughters and has a nice relationship with them. He wasnt like "oh I was shagging about going clubbing and you know what like hehe nudge nudge wink wink". Then went on to father six more children (at least) some or all of which have different mothers..

He said he had been doing bad things went a way for a bit (prison) then seems to have settled down, said something like "I changed, I had a family to look after"
So two compare those two men would just be ridiculous.

Blossomtoes · 27/05/2021 10:22

What would they be charged with? What a spectacular waste of police time that would be.
Serpenta · 27/05/2021 10:34

I can't imagine the police would have any interest in charging a woman with abandoning a baby 30 years ago. I can understand why a woman might not want to go on national TV to tell the world that she had done that though. She'd get a lot of support but there'd also be people who would condemn her for it.

ToffeeNotCoffee · 27/05/2021 10:49

The birth mum said it was a nasty situation...so intrigued to know what happened.

Me too.

The dad said he was not in a good place and had to go away...I take it that means prison time?

That's right. What for I wonder ? Was it to do with how Steve was conceived ?

I know I'm not allowed to ask the unaskable as, apparently, I'm deranged.

Nicky Campbell had a quizzical look on his face when asking Steve's father if he knew about his son. It was the, 'um, no' answer that Steve's Dad gave that made me think. 'You had your suspicions but were heading for prison so just left the child's mother to deal with the pregnancy and birth by herself.'

The Dad even admitted he's surprised he got this far in life, i.e. even he thought he would be dead by now. Judging by the look of him, that's about right.

The mum that abandoned both her babies in hospital. She went to such great lengths to give false details. So, once again, self preservation is the priority.

DigOutThoseLemonHandWipes · 27/05/2021 12:16

Toffee I noticed that Steve's dad said something like "I didn't know you'd been born" which to me implied that he did know there was a pregnancy but had thought/assumed that there had been an abortion.
