Kate wasn't totally taken in by Jo. That's why she had her gun.

How did Bill Gigolo get witness protection? To do that and be one the 4 H's, she'd at least have needed to provide evidence for the final H to have been convicted and the OCG to have been thoroughly destroyed. You don't get witness protection just by asking for it.... unless it's all a scam and CC Philip Osborne arranged it all, and she's pulling the strings because Tommy Hunter ordered it, because she's actually Tommy and Joanne's mother and is currently being held hostage by Tommy to get Joanne's compliance.

That's as maybe, but there's huge voter apathy around the election of the PCC. Where we used to live and in the area we live in now, none of the PCC candidates so much as posted a campaign leaflet through the door. I spoiled my ballot paper because I was so pissed off the candidates thoughts so little of the electorate they did nothing to engage before the election. Plus the OCG is everywhere and I'm sure could rig a PCC election in some way if they needed to.

I thought that would be because she knows she’s in the shit with them for not giving them a heads up, and preventing Ryan giving them a heads up earlier

I think I've said this before, but I think Jo has been promised information about her background in return for helping the OCG. She may well be unaware that TH is her father and uncle.

He does that stupid confession out of fear and bravado.
He'd just tried to shoot Jo and missed at point blank range.
I think he bottles it and Kate shoots him
Shame cos he's an excellent bad guy.

Makes sense that Ryan is the one who is dead or injured as his character has been busted. An awful lot of other characters would have to be rendered useless in order for Ryan to get away with things.

Yes one of the things I like about LoD is that it plays up to the audience's expectations in that way, and that it's sometimes written to be a caricature of itself!

I loved the old picture of Ted, and that they chose/ made a photo of him that looks really awkward. Bad hair and almost bared teeth.
