@GrandmasNightgown yes, Ryan's confession is real. I'm still traumatised from him slitting John Corbett's throat.

DentonsFringeArnottsWaistcoat · 18/04/2021 23:12

@GrandmasNightgown

Is Ryan's confession real? If he had killed twice, why did he hesitate in pulling the trigger?
Presumably because there was a high chance of Kate getting a shot off at him even if he shot at her, he wanted her to put the gun down. He then would have definitely killed her.
Palavah · 18/04/2021 23:14

@pastabest

I suspect Chloe is a red herring and being primed as a main character to take over from Kate fully....
I think this
lolacola77 · 18/04/2021 23:14

I'm calling it now, and mark my words fellas. Chloe is connected to the Stephen Lawrence family and wants revenge. As you were.

The fact that I was seemingly wrong about Paul McCartneyish young lad is seemingly wrong.

I hope the shoot out isn't cheesy with Steve being the hero. Kate is getting on my tits this series (fucks for cover)

Fiddlersgreen · 18/04/2021 23:15

@AledsiPad

Also, I’m not convinced Chloe is connected to the Christopher Lawrence case, just deeply affected by the racism.

I don’t have an Alexa. If I did I bloody well ask who H is. My blood pressure may go down then.

GlassBoxSpectacular · 18/04/2021 23:16

And i agree that if Kate was going to get shot, it wouldn’t be off screen. She’s been one of the 3 leads from the start, she’d get a massively dramatic death scene as going to get shot, it wouldn’t be off screen with Ted and Steve racing to get there in time to save her.

CheekyWeeShite · 18/04/2021 23:17

@Janus

I’ve just watched this all from the start and in series 2 when Tommy is being transferred you see him lift the blanket from his head and ask Akers what’s happening when they sharply turn left when the route is changed. I don’t think they have time to switch the bodies when the car goes up in flames when Lindsay is watching it all.
Exactly - Hunter is definitely in the car just before the ambush. It’s possible he escaped but someone was definitely in fire that wasn’t one of the police.

I’m quite disappointed that Jo’s relation is Hunter. It was the most obvious possibility and frankly I’m not sure where the plot will go with it that’s interesting. But we shall see. That’s the last time I put any brain power into trying to come up with an interesting theory. Boo.

BeaLola · 18/04/2021 23:17

I thought Chloe would be Christopher's sister

I'm fed up of the rubbish laptop that they definately keep typing on

Why do we never see more of Jos flat -I'm interested in whether the kitchen is police blue as well ?

Are you sure we see his face? I didn’t think we did.

I'm seriously going to try and binge watch LOD from series 1 again before next week 🤣 I should have done it before start of this season but I thought I had a good memory! Anyway did anyone notice how upset Jo seemed at the death of the OCG member in the lock up? Plus she said to 'H' over the laptop that she recognised him. Was he a family member? Friend of the family?

iklboo · 18/04/2021 23:22

Shit a potato! How good was that?!

lolacola77 · 18/04/2021 23:22

I notice Jo's computer was ok after she flung it last week. I hope Terry Boyle is ok, poor wee lad.

I'm avoiding everything until next Sunday. I don't want any spoilers. See you on the other side fellas.

Ps was the controversial spoiler last week Jimmy Nesbitt or AMM?

Miraloma · 18/04/2021 23:24

Just been through iPlayer... this is all we saw of 'Tommy Hunter' being murdered! I think he's still alive!

Whose DNA?: Line of Duty thread 6 -May I remind you to post to the letter of the MN law, the letter - no spoilers or you will be served with a reg 15.
MotherOfGodWeeFella · 18/04/2021 23:24

@Zampa and @CheekyWeeShite - Buckells is definately bent and in the OCG's pockets: we were told tonight that he was one of the officers involved in messing up the Lawrence case. He did what Steve wouldn't do in S1 and went along with what Osborne wanted him to, i.e. he lied about what happened to save his own neck/career.

Chloe isn't related to anyone in the show - she's affected by the racism and the fact the CC is in charge of the force and their investigation shows he is implicated in both institutional racism and, it looks like, the OCG.

There's a problem with Sindhwani resigning: he can be replaced by someone in Osborne's pocket so we need him to retract his resignation because as PCC he has the power to remove Osborne. Watch this space.

WingingItSince1973 · 18/04/2021 23:24

@lolacola77 did you mean ducks? 🤣

I mean if that's not a typo then I applaud your committment!
iklboo · 18/04/2021 23:24

I also definately believe Tommy is alive.

AHA!!! You are H / OCG! Gave yourself away there. Boss! We're sucking diesel now.

GlassBoxSpectacular · 18/04/2021 23:25

Haven’t caught up on the thread yet, but Lee Banks saying Ted told him about Corbett just proves Ted isn’t H. He wouldn’t need to go to the prison, sign in and raise questions if he were H - he could have told Lisa McQueen directly.

That’s an excellent point.

And, as someone else mentioned a while back, if Ted was H, Bill Gigolo wouldn’t have been so keen to manoeuvre him into retirement.

MotherOfGodWeeFella · 18/04/2021 23:25

@lolacola77 - both. AMM being back was widely publicised. The James Nesbitt spoiler was inadvertently released by BBC Maestro.

WitnessNotSuspect · 18/04/2021 23:26

fucks for cover
Most phones changes fucks to ducks not vice versa Grin

TheLODstinkyunderpassAKATits · 18/04/2021 23:27

@TheMoth

Is it Dusty Bin?
I can hear Ted Rogers explaining

"you take the H out of Carmichael and the H out of Hastings and get 'escalating racism'"

Also if Ted were H, he'd be unlikely to have had the money troubles that plagued him in the mid seasons.
hodgebit · 18/04/2021 23:28

Tommy Hunter is still alive... The car jacking in series two was actually to free him, and some other poor bastard was shot and burnt... Tommy's holding Joanne's mum (their mum) hostage - hence why she's in thrall to the OCG. Tommy raped his mum, because he's a sick fucker, and is also Ryan's dad.

ChocBeforeCock · 18/04/2021 23:29

Can’t see the photo attached, but this was what I thought. I then remembered we saw it all again at the end when we saw Lindsey’s involvement, and at that point (in episode 6) we do see his face.
