Agree that Ryan may have shot Jo and Kate shot Ryan. Ryan knows if he dies Jo will tell everything she knows and go into witness protection so he's attempted to silence her.

Go back to the car jacking episode. You never see the face of the man who is killed. I think they did a switcheroo. And the body was burnt beyond recognition but they wouldn’t have dna checked it because ‘obviously Tommy’. I 100% think Tommy Hunter is still alive.

I agree with all of this. I think Tommy remained in the safe house and the uniformed officers who were there when he was supposedly being moved were OCG. I thought it as soon as "Tommy" came out of the house with a blanket over his head. And I agree with no DNA check, they would have assumed it was Tommy because he was under constant guard at the safe house.

I was wrong about Ryan killing Gail as he would have said in his little list (dying declaration? We can only hope). I think Jo needs to live for the storyline progression but Ryan has run his course and therefore is brown bread. So that just leaves the question of whether Kate is ok.
Big question mark over the Banks brothers too but I can't work out where they might go with that. Lee obviously still loyal but also defends his brother who must have not been loyal for the OCG to get rid?

Think Kate will survive, on the basis that I think they would have left her death as the ending if she were to go. Finding out she's died at the beginning of episode 6 wouldn't provide the necessary lasting impact that her role deserves.

If this were another series I'd agree with you, but Jed Mercurio has shown that he's not afraid of killing off big names. Julia Montague came to a dramatic end halfway through The Bodyguard, and nobody thought that you'd hire a well-known actor like Daniel Mays only for him to die in the very first episode.

@OhWhyNot I don't think Kate was taken in my Jo. She went to their meeting armed with a gun and she texted the meeting place to Steve presumably knowing there would then be back up as it wasn't just Steve but Ted and Chloe as well rushing out the minute Kate's location was known.

So glad to see the list finally coming back into play - I was worried that Denton died just to catch Fairbanks, and that would be it for the list. Glad that’s not the case.

I’ve been saying for years that I’m sure H is Osborne, but the way Jed is really trying to make it look like it’s Osborne is now making me think it isn’t.

I still think there’s more to Buckells than just an idiot - too coincidental that he’s always in the thick of stuff, and being placed there by important people. I don’t think it’s just that they’ve got a few gallons of his sperm in the freezer.

Would she really have just sat in her car talking on the phone in an obviously dodgy location though? Wouldn't she have got herself to safety when it became clear it was a trap?

I don't think Ryan's going to survive. He's confessed to Corbett and Maneet's murders, he wouldn't cooperate with the police and he's hardly going back to work. Can't see there's much further character development there.

Yes, I think Ryan’s dead too, and AC-12 will rue not bringing him in as now they’ve lost their sprag as well as their mackerel.

I think Jo’s still alive because I don’t think they’d do us out of a GLASS BOX SPECTACULAR in which they grill her about the Tommy Hunter relationship. Jed owes us that!

I’ve just watched this all from the start and in series 2 when Tommy is being transferred you see him lift the blanket from his head and ask Akers what’s happening when they sharply turn left when the route is changed. I don’t think they have time to switch the bodies when the car goes up in flames when Lindsay is watching it all.

I thought probably Kate was aware of being set up. The camera pans to her adjusting her gun before setting off. Also the loud 'drop its' might have been her alerting someone to where they were otherwise it was pretty odd dialogue.

Perhaps because it was a machine-worked gun, and therefore prone to failure and literally blowing up in his face... as hinted at in earlier OCG scene.

Well it massively irritated me he way Ryan did that Doctor Evil explanation rather than just shorting straight away.

But, apart from that, fab episode.
