Stars Emily Watson and Denise Gough.

Cant say I know much about it, but hopefully it will be better than Intruder.

Please!

That’s true. Would be murder if one had died

Wingedharpy · 13/04/2021 19:48

🤣🤣🤣 at "picked up a bug from the worktops" @the80sweregreat.
Though, I must admit in these Covid times, I was wondering if they'd get the Dettol wipes out afterwards - the ones suitable for use in food prep areas, obviously.
There's something to be said for those sex scenes in old black and white films where we just got a knowing look to camera and a slow closing of a bedroom door.
We get the gist, we really don't need the nuts and bolts of the interaction - especially not the nuts!

CatherineCawood · 13/04/2021 20:23

@the80sweregreat I try to put it across the room to stop myself! Doesn't always work!

@Blondeshavemorefun right back at ya! Roll on 9pm!

the80sweregreat · 13/04/2021 20:51

No, we don't need the nuts in these dramas! It's true. I hate the obligatory sex scenes so much ! :)
(I don't think intruder had any though , which was the only good thing about that drama!)

GillBungalow · 13/04/2021 21:05

I didn't even clock yesterday that it's Chizzy playing the nurse

the80sweregreat · 13/04/2021 21:17

We could do with Robbie Coltrane to liven it up a bit !

Stratfordplace · 13/04/2021 21:17

I’ve been unable to finish watching Marcella, Goliath, utter shite both of them. The Intruder bored me after 10 minutes. I don’t think I even care who is the 4th person in In the Line of Duty, surely a group of detectives could have worked it out by now. The only one I’m still watching is Keeping Faith and I must confess that’s for the property porn and locations. What is the matter with our TV programs.

I’m still watching faith weekly

And drooling over a certain male

GillBungalow · 13/04/2021 21:26

Okay this has just got really far fetched Confused

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/04/2021 21:28

Means I’m available

Connie was hinting wasn’t she at her and Tasha

Not a man.
I saw the way she looked at her boobs

Can you please message me with what happened? Haven’t been able to watch tonight’s yet! I love a spoiler Grin
unique1986 · 13/04/2021 21:34

Yeh oh dear Ness went with the husband!
Not sure I believe that. Hes much older.

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/04/2021 21:37

Ness not Tasha

I’m crap with names

If you agree to play around there are certain people you don’t touch.

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/04/2021 21:40

Assume Kenneth had something to do with daughters death

the80sweregreat · 13/04/2021 21:46

Kenneth probably killed her daughter.

GillBungalow · 13/04/2021 21:48

Would she and Si Hubby really have a 7yr old daughter?

A seven year old who died 10 years ago, maybe... but they both seem too old to have an actual 7 year old? I thought they were supposed to be mid to late fifties?

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/04/2021 21:49

@theliverpoolone

One of the people at the picnic scene was Nina someone, actor who's been in Eastenders and Death in Paradise (Jack's girlfriend). She didnt feature at all, but I'm assuming she will do as I can't imagine her just being there as an 'extra'. Not sure I'm invested enough to keep watching to find out though!
She’s her mums doctor? Or something like that
thenightsky · 13/04/2021 21:51

I miss my Mark 1 Rav4.

stevematekatemate · 13/04/2021 21:53

This is sooooo slow and boring. Nearly 10 pm and the story hasn’t developed at all.

the80sweregreat · 13/04/2021 21:53

I think this bloke played the dad of dead Dave in Mum !

Wearethetwirl · 13/04/2021 22:03

Agree story hasn’t progressed much at all in this episode. Tomorrow should be better as it’s the conclusion.

RJnomore1 · 13/04/2021 22:13

I’m actually quite enjoying this. It’s not exactly uplifting viewing but I’m quite intrigued and it finishes tomorrow ssp it won’t drag out.

AwkwardArnottDentonFumble · 13/04/2021 22:22

I’m not sure if it’s too far fetched or took a really dull/obvious route - why do these things always come down to sex in one way or another? Hoping there’s a bigger twist on the way.

That said I’m really not fussy with dramas and I can still enjoy a show without amazing plot etc. Harmless escapism :o

Also is it me or was the bit where she’s walking under the bridge some really bad green screening?!

GillBungalow · 13/04/2021 22:26

I am quite intrigued by the story. I'm starting to think that the book is probably far better than the TV adaptation. And I'm really finding Emily Watson quite wooden in this, and I usually don't think that of her.

AwkwardArnottDentonFumble · 13/04/2021 22:27

(Love the name!)

I was wondering about this, not sure how old the characters are meant to be but one thing Connie says to rattle Emma in the first episode is that they left it late to have kids, they might have been implying they focused on career longer etc. They could have adopted too. Abigail looks a lot younger than 7 so I am assuming she was say 4 when she died 3 years ago.
