BrownEyedGirl80 · 08/04/2021 21:46

Girl who was in the school band with me played Dawn in Emmerdale years ago

TheresAnEyeInMeSoup · 08/04/2021 21:50

My cousin has been on Songs of Praise playing guitar for a gospel group. Potentially outing.

HasaDigaEebowai · 08/04/2021 21:53

One of my good friends is on telly every day. It was odd for five minutes but not anymore.
One of my exes turned up on a programme with Phil and Kirsty. That was really strange. I think because it was a shock suddenly seeing him.

Wagsandclaws · 08/04/2021 22:19

My lovely friend from uni was in Humans, he's an actor so I don't know why I was surprised, I saw him at a friends wedding a couple of years ago, still lovely ☺️

bananamonkey · 08/04/2021 22:21

Someone who was a FoF at uni on the Babyclub.

bananamonkey · 08/04/2021 22:23

Oh and my friends were on that finding a house programme with Amanda Lamb but didn’t tell anyone. Also friend was on CDWM and different friend on The Chase.

My parents, parents friends, Mums partner are all actors so yeah see them on telly quite a lot. Can ruin programmes sometimes though because the characters don't seem like characters but rather just real people who are nothing like the character is meant to be. deffo overacted though actors are a strange bunch lol in my experience Grin

Yes a local councillor at a major horse race that was reported on a national news station. He appeared very drunk behind the news reporter waving very very enthusiastically. Some brave soul yanked him out of screen shout risking life and limb from his flying hands. I understand he tender his resignation a few days afterwards due to personal circumstances.

I had an arch-enemy in one place I lived. Then I moved about 400 miles away. Lived there for 5 years and one New Year's Eve was telling my good friend about this arch-enemy. I had not spoken of him in all that time.
Then we turned onto Jools Holland Hogmanay show, and who should be sitting on the front row, but that little f@cker..... I couldn't believe it. I thought it must be some other ugly sod, but them it panned out and his cow of a wife was sat next to him.

alexis4theppl · 08/04/2021 22:43

My cousin was in love island 😂

RosesAndHellebores · 08/04/2021 22:46

A GP on who wants to be a millionaire - he didn't make it beyond fastest finger.
Someone I know is regularly on 24 hours in A&E
One of the children's friends' dad's popped up in an advert

MrsMidgeMaisel · 08/04/2021 23:22

@chienloup he is a unique character, let's put it that way!! Grin My friend told me he had left BA of his own accord but knowing him, I was not surprised to see him sacked! Wink

Furrybootsyecomfy · 09/04/2021 05:55

A volunteer at my old work appeared on a documentary about children who had escaped WW2 Germany on the Kindertransport.
It was a few years after I left and I just about choked on my tea when she appeared. Her story was so sad but remarkable. She is/was the loveliest person, always so sunny and helpful, it was incredible to think she had been through such trauma when she was so little.

HarleyQuinn21 · 09/04/2021 06:02

Someone from my high school was on Jeremy Kyle

echt · 10/04/2021 01:30

Years ago I was watching the credits for some UK show for other and saw the unmistakable name of a very clever and very bone-idle ex-student of mine. I leapt out of my seat going: You! You lazy git! :o

JustDanceAddict · 10/04/2021 12:11

Funnily someone who I went to uni with just popped up on a prog I’m watching! I knew he was semi-famous but forgot (he’s a DJ).
Not too much info as it’s outing!!

ParkheadParadise · 10/04/2021 12:19

A carer from my late mums care home turned up on Jeremy Kyle.
It was a fucking car crash. She was on long-term sick leave when she appeared on tv. She never returned to her job.
I can remember my sister phoning me to turn the tv on because one of the nutjobs from the care home was appearing 🤪🤪🤪

StarCourt · 10/04/2021 12:28

People have seen me on TV

Pieceofpurplesky · 10/04/2021 12:35

An ex pupil (male) was on naked attraction. I didn't watch it.

midsomermurderess · 10/04/2021 13:10

Iain Glen.

SuziLikeSuziQ · 10/04/2021 14:59

I was in the same year at school as the Gladiator 'Ice', although I never watched the series once it moved to Sky so never actually saw her in it.

Shosha1 · 10/04/2021 15:12

One of the children I looked after as a childminder is in a TV programme. She's been in a few now and I had great fun being her chaperone when she was younger and I had retired.

Shosha1 · 10/04/2021 15:12

Met quite a few actors then and have seen them on other things.

Orgasmagorical · 10/04/2021 15:20

The OW was an extra in a film but I haven't watched it, I've seen more than enough of her already.

A neighbouring house was in Escape to the Country, does that count? Grin
