Anyone watching?
The people always do seem genuinely happy with their transformations but I always really dislike the hair and clothes styling!
Glad for them though that they do seem to get their confidence back which is what it’s all about.

Yes, some of these extensions you can have for your hair are hundreds of pounds and are quite high maintenance and do not last very long.
Same with the teeth and buying new clothes.
It's expensive to keep it all going.

Those boots are awful : hair looks nice though.

Why is she in evening wear that couldn't wear anywhere except a night club?

I liked this lady's dress. Her hair looks great.
It's only any good if your going clubbing , but she likes it and she does look nice.

I think they both looked great this time - apart from first woman and the obligatory hideous dress.

Her hair is so severe again and she just looks nothing like herself!
Maybe that’s me being me, I mean I think is appreciate being a little bit polished but I’d still want to look and feel like me!
Her kids are adorable, the son’s comments about his mum were so lovely.

Well the second lady I think looks fab! A glamorous look but much softer and flattering overall and everything seems to really suit her. The hair looks great. That wasn’t the same stylist was it?

No they had a different hairdresser for her hair.
She looked great.
But I don’t think she looked 60 to begin with! The public were harsh.

Hadn't noticed it was a different hairdresser. What a difference having a reasonable hairstyle for both. These were perhaps the most successful makeovers of the series but both ladies didn't really need that much 'work'.

Silly choice of dress for Alison's lifestyle. And the boots were shite.

The hairdresser was experienced in Afro hair. I think it’s great that they did that.

Why do they always put them in going out gear? Realistically Alison is not going to be able to wear that shimmery dress too often, if ever. Bring back Trinny and Susannah with no nonsense bra advice and warnings about three-quarter length trousers!

I liked Trinny and Susanna. They always chose practical clothing. Things you would actually wear to enhance your figure.

yes i agree trinny & susannah used to analyse the person's life and then come up with a range of outfit types based on the persons actual life

I think the stylist has shares in a cruise liner as the clothes all look like they are ready to share the captains table.

The dresses last night were ok for going out in ( sort of) but totally impractical for anything else. In fact, I thought long dresses are not that popular these days. They might have been in the 70s.
If you walked round Aldi in that sparkly number you would soon feel a bit out of place!

.... which was tons better. This is rushed and they zoom through everything that has been done to focus on the sob story part. I stopped watching it, as they don't show all the treatment each person has and it's not helpful if anyone wants to actually go for it themselves.

This weeks was a bit better apart from the outfits again. SwedishEdith you are spot on with the John Lewis observation. Both dresses look like the ones you’d find in their online sale. Allison’s boots were truly heinous. I did like her hair though. It was so good that they actually let a hairdresser with experience of black hair loose on Marcia but I thought her hair looked gorgeous when the conditioner and curl defined had been put through and was hoping he would go for her natural curls. But she did look really good (other than the dress which was a bit unimaginative. ). I’m glad both of them were so happy with their look. I wish they’d ditch that stylist. I don’t think there’s been one thing that I’ve liked so far .

Forgot this was on, just switched over to see a woman in a bizarre blue dress with a cutout on the chest looking very uncomfortable She seemed so down on herself, it was sad to see.

I hope you rewound to see what the stylist had her in beforehand...it was like two shades of baby shite...a sloppy jumper and a satin long shirt...no wonder the poor woman is down on herself...

Bit disappointed they didn't treat the red patch on Alison's nose, would have been easily done and actually would have made her feel more confident I'm sure (I am red chin queen), because let's face it she won't be wearing make up every day.

I think Marcia would have looked younger with more natural curly hair, her hair looked really overdone in that style, she did look great overall though and seemed to have some spark about her.
