Anyone watching?
The people always do seem genuinely happy with their transformations but I always really dislike the hair and clothes styling!
Glad for them though that they do seem to get their confidence back which is what it’s all about.

To be fair to the stylist she has the confidence and panache to carry off her look.
It may not be my taste or style but she is happy with the way she looks and that is the premise of the show!

The “general public” who is judging the age are always in their 20s aren’t they?

Yes @PandoraP and they’ve said they think people are in their 70’s and I’ve thought they looked late 50’s max! But I suppose to the young, older people may well look to them as though they’re ancient
But I do think they take an incredible narrow cross section of the population to take the poll and it really skews the results.

I thought Thursday’s episode was much better. The blonde lady was, underneath the hair extensions and the Sue Pollard clothes actually quite pretty and had a good bone structure - no wobbling chins.

What I would do:
Sort the dentistry out properly.
Flattering hair cut that’s easy to maintain.
Make up tips for more natural work look plus 1 going out look.
Clothes for work. But more low key clothes that can mix and match to look more casual but well put together.
Sort out nails.

I agree the guesses for ages can be very hit and miss. You don’t want a look at doesn’t fit in with your life. If you do you’ll be back in trackie bottoms and fleece!

I was reading in a Telegraph article the other day that it takes 20 months to sort teeth properly, rather than bunging on some plastic veneers.

I agree that several looks would be useful. I mean, an evening dress is all very well, and most people look a lot better with a big hairdo and full make-up, heels and all, but what about a trip to Tesco? These ladies needed help with everyday looks.

I wonder what they look like in the follow-up programme, 10 Days Later? I bet they’re back in their leggings with greasy hair. I know I would be!

10 days later would be a revelation I think! I think the same about those house programmes where they are extremely cluttered. Are they back to mess everywhere after a month? Or do they really change their habits?

I would love a follow up.
I think 10 months later would be good because it gives time for the novelty to have worn off and hair to grow. It would be interesting to see which bits of advice they kept.

Writing this before the final 'reveal'.

Loved the leggings and boots on the woman but why those HUGE shirts? It looked like the shirts were wearing her. A fitted hip length tunic top would have been better.

The guy - his teeth didn't look that great after treatment. Too far gone? I predict he's going to look great in the reveal though.

Nick looked like some sort of village idiot. Should have kept some of the facial hair. Also those shoes and yellow socks...poor bloke.

Why didn’t they keep her long blond / platinum blonde hair that showed off her stunning eyes? She was hot.

Why does he give them such extreme hairstyles! that pink do is atrocious. The blonde lady has lovely eyes, again like the prison warden do in an earlier programme a short spiky do is so unattractive. Ugh. Glossy bobs or a bit of a balayage would have been far nicer.

Why is the styling on this show always so utterly shit!!!! None of it is fashionable for any age and it's always so fussy and try hard. It's similar to the crap styling that Gok Wan used to do on his shows which were over 10 years ago with way too many garish accessories and colours. Times have changed! The two tonight ended up looking like embarrassing has-beens trying to be cool. The poor guy just needed some decent jeans and a nice fitting tshirt.
