Reporting for Duty

CaptainMyCaptain · 25/03/2021 10:26

Thank you.

FawnDrench · 25/03/2021 10:34

I think they had to make a change of team to raid the flat because a firearm was deployed at the "robbery" scene, so everything would need to be itemised or whatever it's called.

They couldn't just continue on to another site where there would be more potential to have to use their firearms.
This delay of course enabled the real villain at the flat to get away and Terry to be installed.
Possibly...

Earlybirdcatches · 25/03/2021 10:38

Yes, I assumed the ‘shit, shit, shit’ from Jo was because she knew they’d now have a mountain of paperwork/investigation/delay in getting to Ross.

Furries · 25/03/2021 10:42

I’m still intrigued by the complete radio silence when they first entered the flat, that definitely didn’t seem right. Surely there’s no way they would get away with ignoring at least 2 radio calls from Jo?

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/03/2021 11:11

Thanks for new thread and no spoilers 😁

Back to Ryan. Lisa def knew he was joining police as said how was exam in a previous episode of words to effect

Plus she said the other bloke killed John was was Ryan

SingToTheSky · 25/03/2021 11:17

Thread two already

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/03/2021 11:19

Literally at beginning of s5 e6

Never asked you how your exams went

I have a date for My interview

Decided I needed to recap last episode before e2 of s6

Dramallamabanana · 25/03/2021 11:27

@Furries

No that was actually right. If anything, she was in the wrong to continue badgering them for an up-date. When you first enter a premises you will be concentrating on clearing all the rooms and securing any suspects, not giving radio up-dates. Up-date is given once scene is secure- and she should/would know this.

If she was my SIO she'd be getting right on my tits!

GillBungalow · 25/03/2021 11:29

I wonder if the floofy jumper was for continuity purposes (disguising the 'Covid Stone')

AllTheWayFromLondonDAMN · 25/03/2021 11:31

Placemarking, fellas.

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/03/2021 12:18

Ann marie corbets mum is dead. He went to live worh his Aunty

So jo’s mum can’t be her

SuperintendenHastingsAsYouWere · 25/03/2021 12:19

Did anyone else notice when Jo and Kate were discussing that it may not have been Terry in the flat and it could have been someone else, Kate said something like from neighbour statements the bloke was described as ‘dark haired and stocky’ but surely if someone was asked to describe Terry you would point out that he has Downs Syndrome, it’s a big descriptive point of Terry surely and not as simple as it could be anyone else who is dark haired and stocky.
Does that make sense? I just found it rather unbelievable

AuntieStella · 25/03/2021 12:21

But she could be child of aunty?

What difference would that make? (Genuine question, sorry, as need a recap on this angle!)

Buggerthebotox · 25/03/2021 12:24

@superintendent I was thinking the same thing.

Taswama · 25/03/2021 12:28

May have already been said, but when Jo kept the keys I thought she was leaving open the possibility of returning to sort things out later if needed.

OysterMonkey · 25/03/2021 12:32

Yes, that was very odd
ChequerBoard · 25/03/2021 12:42

I can't see how Jo is anything other than corrupt. She stopped the armed officers attending the flat causing a major delay. All on the strength of driving past a side road at speed and seeing a transit van parked outside a bookies.

Hardly a suspect sight.Hmm

BenoneBeauty · 25/03/2021 12:43

Checking in - love these threads for reminding me of things that I'd completely forgotten (or missed altogether!)

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/03/2021 12:53

@AuntieStella

But she could be child of aunty?

True.

Aunty and mum wouild be sisters so similar looking

Dailyhandtowelwash · 25/03/2021 12:55

@Blondeshavemorefun

No, she said it was Miroslav. Deliberately kept any mention of Ryan totally out of it. He wasn't arrested or engaged with the police at any point other than of course poor Maneet.
Dailyhandtowelwash · 25/03/2021 12:55

@SuperintendenHastingsAsYouWere

Depends if you'd seen him close up enough, or from the front I guess?
Blondeshavemorefun · 25/03/2021 13:01

When dot was blinking at the letters. He said H. Then kate started back to the alphabet. He didn’t blink at A

So not hasting- why wasn’t this point mentioned

he didn’t get as far I for Higgins as paramedics arrived

Dailyhandtowelwash · 25/03/2021 13:11

We are beyond H now. The lack of a A is very series 5.

Can I echo the point that's just been posted at the end of the last thread? Please no spoilers, including references to returning characters. It's still a sort of spoiler as now I'll be waiting for someone to appear and have lost that element of surprise.

Furries · 25/03/2021 13:28

@Dramallamabanana - ah, thank you for explaining that re radio silence. I’ve obviously got my “corporate/office” head on where you’d be torn to shreds if you ignored a boss 🤣
