Anyone just see it? Good for her. What a horrible tag line. They're clueless.

All of Me - love, life and addiction

Quick Amazon search brought this book up, from 2007. Actually has addiction on the title, as a sub-title. So 13 years ago, but important part of her life, and much publicised.

I don’t think the GMB tag line was too bad, and actually gives her more credibility for being a wellness coach, rather than some ex-soap star promoting their latest fad.

Esse321 · 17/03/2021 09:02

Her book is 14 years old, I don't think she has a new one coming out.

Lochmorlich · 17/03/2021 09:03

She lives in a country where reputation and money can be lost very easily.
Good on her for protecting her career.
She’s a very different person now to the young Eastenders star.

Bluetrews25 · 17/03/2021 09:05

Well, she got more publicity for walking off than for staying on.
So that was a good move. Got us all talking about her far more than just your average interview.

BigBamboo · 17/03/2021 09:05

Good on Patsy.

People put up with too much shitty behaviour. It is time for everyone to start calling people out on it and standing their ground.

Roussette · 17/03/2021 09:07

The book was 14 years old?

Even more appalling than I first thought then

Alsohuman · 17/03/2021 09:07

That book came out 14 years ago. She has every right to draw a line. She impressed me for not accepting their crap.

Roussette · 17/03/2021 09:08

And she was perfectly polite when she cut the call.

GillBungalow · 17/03/2021 09:08

Good on her for making a stand.

Though I think she was clearly pissed off with hanging around waiting to start with Grin They'd made reference to a previous piece running over, I imagine her interview was already a bit late and she was sitting there waiting whilst they dicked about talking about Ranvir's chair or whetever it was

Roussette · 17/03/2021 09:11

What she said was so correct...

Patsy said: "My issues that I had years ago, that were talked about many years ago, and it's over, so I am not going to talk to you, don't worry about it but I don't want to talk to you," and hung up.

rainbowunicorn · 17/03/2021 09:15

Good for her.

All the posters saying that she wrote about it in her book, yes she did 14 years ago. She wrote about her problems with drink and drugs that does not mean that she should be forever defined by that measure.

Would you like it if your past mistakes or difficulties were brought up constantly?

whitepicket · 17/03/2021 09:16

She was on there to talk about hair, not to discuss her past. Good for her.

Orchidflower1 · 17/03/2021 09:18

@Moonstone1234

It was rather rude but if it’s using her own quote.....
Oh I didn’t realise that it was a quote from her book.
Orchidflower1 · 17/03/2021 09:19

Sorry posted too soon 🤬

But if she wasn’t there to talk about her book then why use it?

ancientgran · 17/03/2021 09:21

@itsgettingwierd

Agree sparkling EW thought she was a soft touch and ignored the questions.

SE was much better about holding her to account.

She's actually impressing me

Edwina Currie was talking rubbish, this time last year we didn't know covid was coming in from europe, oh yes we did all those people who had been skiing at half term and then came back with covid. We knew exactly how dangerous it was. I sold an item on ebay to someone in Italy and he asked me what was wrong with Britain that we weren't looking at what was happening there.

I hate all the "hindsight" stuff. Have a look at what was on GMB a year ago about Cheltenham and you can see this isn't anything to do with hindsight. The big Spanish football match in Liverpool she referred to, well those Spanish fans who came and spread the virus in Liverpool weren't allowed to go to matches at home.

Good on Susannah for not letting her just say her lies, I'm just sorry she didn't challenge her more.

DenisetheMenace · 17/03/2021 09:22

Don’t understand why anyone watches this rubbish.
Turn the radio on Grin

Roussette · 17/03/2021 09:22

All this 'using her own quote' nonsense. From 14 years ago.

How fair is that?
She's been free of all her addictions for 16 whole years. Yet the vile GMB define her as an addict Hmm

It's just sensationalism

Roussette · 17/03/2021 09:23

I don't watch GMB

But the clip came up on my feed. So I watched it.

Nothingyet · 17/03/2021 09:24

'Addiction' is her selling point, not 'actress'.
I guess she hopes this new publicity from her strop will make a few more sales.

ancientgran · 17/03/2021 09:26

It's a shame that she feels unable to talk about it. Her journey could be very inspirational to people who are struggling. Of course she doesn't have to use herself as an example but she put it out there so I'm a bit conflicted about it. I didn't see it so might be more clear cut if you watched it.

Goldengladrags · 17/03/2021 09:27

Nah, I think GMB knew exactly what they were doing there. Like others have said sensationalism at its finest.

I have had some crap in my past that I have successfully moved on from. I wouldn't be impressed that it was still being brought up either.

Fair play to Patsy for knowing what she finds acceptable and not.

ancientgran · 17/03/2021 09:27

They didn't did they? Weren't they saying she was an addict (in the past tense) and now she's a fitness guru.
Roussette · 17/03/2021 09:29

She has talked about it.
She wrote a book fourteen years ago about it.

Here is what she said...
"My issues that I had years ago that were talked about me many many years ago and it’s over."

She wasn't on GMB to talk about being an addict.

Roussette · 17/03/2021 09:31

Weren't they saying she was an addict (in the past tense) and now she's a fitness guru

She was not there to talk about being 'an addict'. She bravely overcame it and wrote about it. Should she be defined as 'an addict' forever?
She was there to talk about wellness and fitness.

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 17/03/2021 09:31

Just looked on Twitter - it would have been a promo interview to launch her new haircare range, Good and Proper.
So absolutely no need to reference her addict past.
