I found it quite astonishing that in a newspaper article Millie said she didn’t use protection as she knew the guy and didn’t worry about STIs and didn’t think it would be so easy to get pregnant. I’m sure they love their kids but it doesn’t feel massively healthy to keep on having children.

MNWorldisCrazy · 10/03/2021 10:23

@Twospaniels

Why did Daniel have a driving lesson with Dad and no L plates on the car!

22 kids is ridiculous but so long as the tax payer doesn’t have to foot the bill, then let them get on with it.

They do! They go on about how they don't claim benefits etc but they still pull in thousands per month in Child Benefit (formerly family allowance)!
MinnieJackson · 10/03/2021 11:04

Sue did admit ages ago they got tax credits aswell but that has all been swept under the rug.
Daniel didn't have L plates because he'd already passed his test! It wasn't a lesson at all. I believe Sue justified it as he hadn't driven since he'd passed, so it was a refresher, not just trying to think up content Confused it's not new anyway as they showed Millie driving with Noel for her 17th birthday and she had a cake with her and a car on it Confused

CovidCrow · 10/03/2021 11:10

Regarding the attention thing, I did notice that when Noel picked up the little girl from school all he was prattling on about was Millie's gone to have a baby. No 'how was your day at school?' or 'what have you been doing today? Reading? Painting?' Etc etc etc. Seems their whole world revolves around have blinking babies.

ChampagneWorries · 12/03/2021 11:41

I was really surprised to see Sue breastfeeding. I thought she wouldnt of had time for that (breastfeeding is very time consuming).

I was surprised to see her in a canada goose coat that retails at least £800.

Millie is lucky nobody on their social media has picked up on the smoking.

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/03/2021 15:15

@ChampagneWorries they will now

If uou me and others noticed it

I tried, I really did but this is so staged and cringe. We watched the one where Noel takes the kids out for the adventure day and Sue bakes, and a gazillion new school uniforms magically come to £200. We found it really dull and contrived. I miss the Duggars (well except for Josh) especially the earlier ones where Ma Duggar was really honest about how difficult it was before the older ones could help more and we got to see more of the day-to-day realities of having so many children, like laundry, meal prep, huge trips to Aldi, and how much the kids pitched in with chores. This Radford thing just seems excessive and not at all relatable. And staged. The timings were all wrong with school, there was something like a child wearing a winter coat then later that day it was really hot and they had ice lollies!

CoffeeRunner · 12/03/2021 17:31

I’m just watching episode 3. Little Phoebe is the star of the family for me. Her personality & facial expressions are fabulous Grin.

What do they do with all of the outgrown prams? Seems very wasteful to me.

Same4Walls · 12/03/2021 17:48

*What do they do with all of the outgrown prams? Seems very wasteful to me.,

They probably end up in a skip. They always seem to have a skip on the front of their property. The amount they just throw away is criminal!

MyDcAreMarvel · 12/03/2021 18:26

This is interesting , I watched the Duggar’s but not this old.

woodhill · 12/03/2021 18:53

Have they not heard of Freecycle.

Same4Walls · 12/03/2021 19:32

@woodhill

Have they not heard of Freecycle.
I'd love to be proven wrong but I doubt they have ever given anything away. From all I've seen they are the epitome of wasteful and a perfect example of throwaway culture.
woodhill · 12/03/2021 19:39

Very hard to understand why they can't give things to a charity shop,, maybe they eBay stuff

ChampagneWorries · 12/03/2021 19:53

Could someone please explain why he would of got ripped to shreds in the RAF?

creepingthyme · 12/03/2021 20:56

All of this throwing money around is very new, and only possible because people engage with their ads/vlogs/TV shows. Noel used to be as tight as a duck's arse, it was Sue's running joke on Facebook. When they stop having kids and the money dries up it will be a massive shock to their system, they'll have to go back to buying 75p tshirts out of Primark again.

runningformystrife · 12/03/2021 22:09

They did a tabletop sale in previous a series IIRC

creepingthyme · 12/03/2021 22:15

That carboot sale was obviously staged for the programme, and they supposedly didn't even make their entrance fee back. As if people who throw money around like sand at the beach are going to waste their time standing all day to make a few pounds.

JeansNTees · 12/03/2021 22:34

MyDC that's the one I was thinking of! Love the old Duggar videos. They are so organised!

CorianderBee · 12/03/2021 22:39

@ThatsnotmyBorishishairistoneat

I really enjoy watching them. I have idea how they do it but they seem happy and well cared for. I thought it was hilarious Noel got the baby’s name wrongGrin Hope they sorted it.

It did annoy me that it was said they run the whole family on £30k when they get lots of freebies and assumed they get paid for the show. There is no way they live their lifestyle on that amount.

Don't see how that's possible when they buy £1,500 prams, takeaway for £150 a pop and their grocery bill is £800 a month
