@GladysTheGroovyMule

It made me feel a bit sad that Tillie was left alone to do her exercises- surely it would be better to not only have company for that but someone there making sure she was doing them correctly or at least vouching for her at the next appointment with her consultant? Not to mention if the poor girl has mobility issues being left alone in the hot tub can’t be safe?!

The £1500 pram made me feel a bit... icky. They (N, S and the narrator) must have mentioned how much it cost about 4 times. It’s up to them how much they want to spend (I think that much money on a pram is mental personally but I’ve never been in a position to spend that much) but it felt like the most important thing to remember was how much it cost and that they basically shit money now. Speaking of prams, as they get a new one with every baby and some of the age gaps are under a year, what do they do with all the old ones they no longer use? Sell them on? Donate them? Skip them? Some must be barely used.

They seem so wasteful as a family.

The baby shower was so OTT as well and that stupid cake

Levirandal · 09/03/2021 18:10

I couldn’t understand how they were allowed to gather together at the baby shower. Friends and family indoors. The show feels a bit like they’re trying to show people that even though they have a big family they can buy all sorts and that it’s all wonderful and jolly. Shame to hear the RAF didn’t work for Daniel. It seems they all stick quite close together and those who leave return.

SquirtleSquad · 09/03/2021 18:15

Omg shocked at the smoking on the way to have a baby! It's on the YouTube video at 38:20. Grim.

runningformystrife · 09/03/2021 18:23

I'm halfway through last nights episode but why is there never any mention of the collie?

On the title page the 2 french bulldogs are there, but not the other dog. I have a colllie so I'm intrigued. They're known to be really sensitive and high maintenance. I'm always wondering about training and exercise. The frenchies seem to be more included.

MinnieJackson · 09/03/2021 18:30

I never noticed the smoking!
The only thing I know is if they're ever questioned on their Facebook page the family just say people are jealous and normally get a mouthful.from Sophie or Millie Confused

SquirtleSquad · 09/03/2021 18:31

I just looked on the FB page, why are people asking for their PO Box to send them birthday gifts? It's so weird!!!

Same4Walls · 09/03/2021 18:32

I've heard several people say similar. I'm not entirely sure what exactly everyone is supposed to be jealous of?

why is there never any mention of the collie

I think it's because the collie is not a popular breed and the frenchies fit in with the persona they are trying to create on social media.

SquirtleSquad · 09/03/2021 18:33

"I know you have you pie business but I would like to help yous with money wise if you need it"

What the fuck!!!

CovidCrow · 09/03/2021 18:39

It's probably stuck in a crate in the cellar Sad

I noticed the French bulldogs had their jumpers on indoors and yet the kids were in thin tops. Those poor dogs must be boiling hot, but as long as they look good I suppose Hmm

AnoDeLosMuertos · 09/03/2021 18:40

I noticed Sue is not very affectionate with her older kids. Her son came back from his first day at high school and there was no hug/kiss. In the same moment her daughter had had a great day at school in year 6 and there was nothing from Sue. My kids are sick of my kisses I think! 😂

MinnieJackson · 09/03/2021 18:46

@SquirtleSquad what the hell? I saw someone comment on YouTube asking to see more videos of Ellie as she's so beautiful Envy it could be anyone!
They do have a P O box and often read out cards people send to the kids.

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/03/2021 19:05
@Blondeshavemorefun yeah it was definitely a cig and she held it to her mouth and then looked like she threw it on the floor but she went passed a big sign before we saw the smoke come out of her mouth, not that I was Stalking her or anything Grin
Oh I agree. I just couldn’t get a better pic

Oh and the cost of the hot tub. £5k. I can’t decide if channel 5 are setting them up to be scrutinised by viewers sat at home watching and wondering how the magic pie shop pays for all this really expensive stuff.

I think they stopped doing programmes with channel 4 because they didnt like the way they were being portrayed, and they feel they have more control with c5. They seem to use some of their own footage but I'm not sure the narration is any more favourable than channel 4. (Althpugh they said they had seen the programmes and were happy with them) Channel 5 are known for making /editing programmes to illicit a reaction.

FedNlanders · 09/03/2021 20:40

It's because you can't polish a turd.

RevolvingPivot · 09/03/2021 21:09

Chancel 5 seem to show all the benefit / job seeking programmes. Strange how they went to channel 5.

RevolvingPivot · 09/03/2021 21:16

The Collie was at the start of the programme

RevolvingPivot · 09/03/2021 21:20

I wonder how they decide which kids to take shopping. There always seem to have the baby and younger primary kids but not the toddlers or older primary.

butterpuffed · 10/03/2021 08:19

I can't get my head around all the expensive stuff they have. I know a fair bit is given via insta, YouTube etc., and the money they receive for tv programmes , but even so..Shock

Ooh , forgot the Pie shop Wink

MinnieJackson · 10/03/2021 08:43

I assume they get paid for This Morning and articles they give to newspapers aswell.

miserablecat · 10/03/2021 09:10

I couldnt see why they had to take any of them to be honest (for the pram!) ...But they should have taken Millie! I cant imagine it's very interesting or exciting for small kids to go to a pram shop - they must have seen plenty of pushchairs, prams and baby kit at home! I struggle to get my DS to come out to get his own clothes or shoes. (Pre covid)

Also I didnt see why they moved the treadmill into the middle of the lounge? It seemed a bonkers place for it, as if it wasnt chaotic enough as it is. I dont think it stayed there for long but I would worry about someone getting hurt if some of the younger kids started mucking around with it.

AaronPurr · 10/03/2021 09:25

You're right, it must be boring, there are plenty of adults who aren't bothered about prams, let alone small children.

I think they do it so they can present the narrative that the children love the new babies and are excited about them. When we know from the earlier episode that's not the case at all, the children were done with babies about 8 siblings ago. All they want is a bit of attention, and after this year probably a bit of peace and quiet.

RevolvingPivot · 10/03/2021 09:34

Does anyone else think that with Millie having the attention with the pram / gifts / hospital that the older teens will want a baby next?

Whatwouldscullydo · 10/03/2021 09:39

Is she getting the attention though?

Sounds like all the opportunities to enjoy a bit of attention are being taken over.

She couldn't choose her pram
Someone else planned the baby shower

None of it sounds like it'd even about her Confused

Exactly. It seems as though this was just another opportunity for Sue to indulge in the baby planning and having another newborn in the house. I wonder how much Sue takes over, even under the guise of giving Millie a break.
