@WeeFae

According to Tattle, Sue hates his girlfriend and wanted custody of the children they had.
I thought they were married and 2 kids

Chris's partner has 6 kids, 2 are his. He definitely keeps his distance but his insta bio says "the eldest Radford" so I guess he isn't completely cut off from them all and wanting to keep his life seperate.

PutOnAHappyFace · 24/03/2021 11:35

I do wonder if the kids struggle with independence? Never having to be alone or do anything by themselves.

againandagainoncemore · 24/03/2021 11:37

We're watching 15 kids and counting (with other families featured). It's pretty depressing actually. It feels very different to the current series.

The mess and noise and chaos. None of it really seems fun.

fizbosshoes · 24/03/2021 15:59

I remember the first one in the series with other families. It felt like there was constantly a baby or toddler crying or tantrums in the radford house. Maybe there was/is. I cant imagine living with that for 20 + years! I used to help at a toddler group after my DC started school and there were really cute and endearing aspects of toddlers that I miss as my DC are older...but I dont miss the whinging and tantrums!
A few of the families seemed quite chaotic but one, I think did home schooling and seemed more routined (but I felt sorry for the older ones doing on line school, and not mixing outside their slightly cultish family)
There was another programme on channel 5 a few years ago with a single mum in Southampton who I think had 10 DC. She seemed to rely heavily on the older teenage girl.
One reason I wouldnt have wanted lots of kids (apart from the fact I cant afford it) is that a) I dont think I'm organised enough and b) I want to pursue my own hobbies, neither of which seemed to apply in many of the families.

@fizbosshoes the homeschooling mum was Tanya Sullivan - now divorced as her husband was abusive Sad

SquirtleSquad · 24/03/2021 16:38

Someone in the comments on the DM called Noel Heroic 🦸‍♂️ Grin

WheeshtTheNoo · 24/03/2021 17:19

I wish the reporters would stop saying the pie shop pays for everything!!

They honestly need to stop posting about lavish gifts, I'd be worried that the house is probably easy to find. They have luxury cars sitting on a street, expensive dogs that probably roam the garden and all the other jewellery etc in the house. We all saw Noel got a £5000 watch for his birthday and Sue a expensive ring for xmas along with god knows what else.

I'm pretty sure someone did try and break in once!

@VouisLuitton

I always enjoyed watching this series. But *@SquirtleSquad* pointed out in a thread the other day that they removed the door handles off the bedroom doors so that the children couldn’t get out of their rooms at night. This has made me look at them in a different light. Very disturbing.
I recall years ago when a couple with mild learning difficulties did something to the children’s bedroom door handles so they couldn’t get out. The children had taken matches upstairs and started a fire. Their parents thought they were just playing up and tragically the children lost their lives.

It’s such a dangerous thing to do

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/03/2021 21:26

Sorry to post late here.

I've been thinking a lot about this family. I've watched all their TV shows. They seem nice enough. . The older teens and young adults especially seem lovely.

However I think they are so selfish having so many children.

My job involves me looking after children of all ages. In the school holidays I can have up to 8/9 children aged from 1-9 years. (Not siblings)

It's INCREDIBLY hard work to ensure all needs are met and all children get some individual attention. I work very hard to ensure this happens but it's easier for me as the children return to their own families by 6p.m. I do not have to look after them evenings/weekends/full time.

It's also very tiring and no way could I do it full time and I am very experienced and love children (hence my job!)

I just don't know how Sue and Noel can give their children the attention they all need and deserve.

I know from vast experience that the quieter children can fade into the background and be overwhelmed by noisier more confident children. This would be my worry, if I were them, that some of my children were being overlooked.

Just my thoughts.

Blurp · 14/04/2021 13:29

@Gottalovesummer I agree. It's hard to know how things operate in the house, but I'd be surprised if all the children are able to get uninterrupted attention for any length of time. Even if there were no other demands on the parents' time it would be difficult. But when you add in the other kids wanting and needing things, it must be impossible!

I also suspect that the quieter ones would just fade into the background.

DH is from a family of 6, and even that he says was difficult. I think at the time he enjoyed it, but now he realises that he never had things like a bedtime story. His older siblings did some of the parenting, especially of the youngest 2, but he now sees that that wasn't ideal and would have preferred one-to-one time with his parents.

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/04/2021 13:51

Just seems the older look after the younger

They do all seem happy

But how the hell do they afford a £5k watch etc

The pie shop pays for it all. Yeah right

Impossible. Admit the free gifts etc

They are now breeding pups from their eldest Frenchie, trying to sell them for £4k each.

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/04/2021 14:18

Wow. That an expense

I wonder what will happen when menopause hits the mother? Will she seek hormone treatment to enable her to keep having babies, indefinitely? Her obsession with having babies is unhealthy and bizarre, and the people enabling and encouraging her behaviour aren't much better.

Guacamole001 · 11/01/2022 09:40

If she is 46 and her eldest is 32 she must have started getting pregnant from age 14. Apparently they make a lot of money on social media.

Blondeshavemorefun · 11/01/2022 10:53

We know how young sue was

But yes at 46 too old tech

Tho I know of the odd menopausal baby had at 46/47 naturally

A mum at school

I kinda thought they may do ivf for no 23

Just seen on FB that Millie is expecting her second child "any day now." They kept that quiet in the episodes seen so far!
