Anybody know when it starts? All I've found is this Radio Times article saying it will start before the end of March this year. www.radiotimes.com/tv/drama/line-of-duty-season-six-release-date/ Kelly Macdonald is due to guest star.

Can't wait!

No, but I still think that would have been something John would have talked about, and also this is Line of Duty so realism isn't high on the list!

You are right, it's not high on the list - but maybe that's leaning towards "tragic family where one child was adopted one place and the other to the other home" which is more the stuff of "twins separated at birth adoption shocker" tabloid headlines.

I wondered if all the locks on the door were because she was Tommy's daughter so he had had them installed for her protection.

Re the arrest, I thought the silence was because they went in expecting some violent criminal, resisting arrest, and instead brought out a vulnerable, compliant man with DS. He wasn't fighting and the officers were silenced by developments.

Entirely possible. But basically I think people are reaching for this based on the two pictures having a woman with similar hair in them, when nothing else really suggests it makes sense. Jo's mother is obviously key but I think if it were meant to be Anne-Marie, she'd have had a copy of the exact same photo as John. LoD tends to be fairly clear (no laughing at the back) when it intends viewers to know something the cops don't.

I think if they are supposed to be siblings with John being younger then they should have cast differently!

The pics above don't look like the same woman do they though?

I think those two women look quite similar. Maybe that's deliberate.

Do we actually know that the older woman in the picture is actually KM's mum and that the younger woman is KM? Or are we just assuming that?

Anything could have happened during the silence during the raid. Maybe they all just had a cup of tea and put their feet up unlikely. (Sorry, I'm lacking sleep and my speculation has hit the ridiculous). Perhaps the answer to everything is aliens.

I think Jo is one of the good ones, but is being blackmailed for something (hence locks on door) and she deliberately diverted to the armed robbery to ‘pay’ the person off, not realising what she has got herself into and the consequences.

Sorry if this has been discussed, but do we know Chris (DS/DC??) already? He looks a bit dodgy!

I think that the young girl in the pic could be a young KM.

I think though starting off with the re routed convoy & if there's another Anne Marie connection it seems as if there are no new ideas?

I think that she's only supposed to be about 14yrs younger than Tommy so maybe not his daughter.

Her mother killed/relative killed because of some connection to Tommy?

Is the Tommy thing because she's Scottish? Because Tommy had lived down south long enough to know Dot as a 12 year old, so his daughter would only have a Scottish accent if she had lived apart from him. Although it feels like that would be the scenario people are imagining anyway.

I'm starting to like the theory of Terry being taken into the property and ten brought back out. He was also wearing a different suit to the others and it had "prisoner" on the back. I'm probably overthinking again but why wasn't he in a normal forensic oversuit?

The flat KM goes to after leaving Farida - do we know it's her mother's?

The guest star people have never been part of the big conspiracy that the series seems to be chasing down. They've all made mistakes but it's always spiralled from a mistake or misjudgement rather than inherent corruption.

I can’t see them swapping Terry for Ross during the raid. That would require too many bent coppers. If anything the OCG would have done that during the armed robbery diversion. But quite honestly that doesn’t add up. If they had the time to get 4 kids to rob a shop on the route they must have had time to swap Terry in.

Anyway they had hours the night before to do anything before the surveillance started.

Tommy Hunter was the original OCG leader from series 1. If you’re planning to watch the old series then I won’t tell you anything else about him - at the moment you don’t need to know anything else.
