Anybody know when it starts? All I've found is this Radio Times article saying it will start before the end of March this year. www.radiotimes.com/tv/drama/line-of-duty-season-six-release-date/ Kelly Macdonald is due to guest star.

Can't wait!

(Apologies if there's another thread, I couldn't find one.)

@unique1986

I've read on twitter that lots arent happy with the Terry story. Tbh I would rather it stopped pretty quickly. Just feels seedy.
Haven't looked at twitter but why this time? This isn't the first storyline with Terry being set up or taken advantage of. It's always been horrible- so why are more unhappy this time.
SingToTheSky · 22/03/2021 22:53

Just watched the Mark Bonnar interview bits, thanks. Damn he’s good in everything

unique1986 · 22/03/2021 22:53

Not sure. I only started viewing Line of Duty on twitter from series 4.
Nearly 10 million watched last night so it's just become huge.

MarieDelaere · 22/03/2021 22:54

One day there will be a version of subtitles for people like me that comprises little floating boxes above characters' heads with their names, and if you click on it you'll be able to see their job title and possibly a small potted history of their life story.

unique1986 · 22/03/2021 22:57

^ Ha I would hate that.

unique1986 · 22/03/2021 22:58
 • I mean if it was there all the time.
WhoWants2Know · 22/03/2021 22:59

@FourWordsImMuNiTy

(That’s not a joke btw, always worth getting this sort of thing checked out and a quick online test is as good a place to start as any while we’re on lockdown)
Damn. I guessed from what the solicitor said that I hadn't heard the beep. I failed the online hearing test, so I guess I better go to Specsavers.

Yes please!
drspouse · 22/03/2021 23:26

The X-ray on Amazon Prime is not bad for names/images. But no life history.

FourWordsImMuNiTy · 22/03/2021 23:32

Yes it’ll tell you that thing they were in, you know, the one with the house, but it won’t tell you that guy she had an affair with. Whatsisname. His wife was furious.

I would love this too! Was so glad when they started doing this on Big Brother as I never had a clue who anyone was (& for a while, when people were arguing about something that happened, I loved that they did flashbacks to show the truth of the situation).

That would be great for LOD (at least for me!)

I've only read the first and 30th pages so someone might have already answered the OP's original question.

Season 6, episode 1 was on BBC1 on Sunday 21st March, so if you've missed it you should be able to grab it on catch up or the BBC iplayer

GetOffYourHighHorse · 23/03/2021 07:20

'Terry will triumph. Because of his photos and because he is much more aware of things than he is letting on.'

Yes I think so too. The ocg have underestimated him. Also, disabled people are a very relevant part of society so to have this actor in a prime time show is brilliant imo.

NoWordForFluffy · 23/03/2021 07:27

@Harmonypuss, yes, that's why this thread is quite busy; we're discussing that episode!

KaptainKaveman · 23/03/2021 07:45

I rewatched it yesterday and that helped a lot. The diversion to the post office/betting shop/whatever with the young fellas was clearly a ruse so that the alternative AFO team could intercept the arrest of the real Ross Turner, smuggle him out and instruct Terry to maintain No Comment in interview. This alternative AFO team is either members of the OCG or on their payroll.

It was VERY strange the way that arrest sequence was filmed - something went on in that flat that we did not see. All we saw was a period of radio silence and then Terry being brought out. Dodgy....

Davidson's name is Samantha, not Jo - why? the lingering shots of the photo of her and another female. My dd is convinced it is her mother, could it be Anne-Marie?

Anyone else remember the significance of the missing freezer?

I previously contained the frozen body of Jackie Laverty from Series 1. It had been removed when the flat was forensically cleaned to destroy evidence. It would have been harder to remove all evidence from the freezer, I would imagine. No doubt it will turn up somewhere.
Harmonypuss · 23/03/2021 07:57

@NoWordForFluffy Thank you for putting me straight, I'm glad I didn't read any more of the thread because I'm going to save them up and binge them.

I've just watched seasons 1&2 again and they bring back so many memories because you actually see my house in those seasons!

The BBC actually asked me whether they could rent my house to use before they started filming season 1 and I turned them down! They eventually got a couple of houses in the next street up the hill which were used as the elderly guys house who was being tormented and the house the druggies used.

Our estate has changed considerably since then and those houses are no longer there, so it's a little trip down memory lane re-watching this 2 seasons.

toffeebutterpopcorn · 23/03/2021 07:59

Where was it filmed? Do they ever really say where it’s supposed to be?

NoWordForFluffy · 23/03/2021 08:01

No doubt it will turn up somewhere.

Probably with poor Terry in it. 😢

That's a brilliant anecdote, Harmony! Bet you regret it now. It's best not to come onto threads in Telly Addicts when series have started unless you want to discuss recent episodes.

NoWordForFluffy · 23/03/2021 08:02

It's filmed in Northern Ireland and set in the Midlands.

Wildswimming3 · 23/03/2021 08:02

@captainMyCaptain. Ive just watched all episodes again. Was that series 5? I cant remember them finding jackie laverty

CovoidOfAllHumanity · 23/03/2021 08:04

KaptainKaveman- really good point

They dressed the suspect in a forensic suit saying 'prisoner' too didn't they so everyone looked at him but it was hard to tell who anyone else was. The real suspect could easily have been smuggled out in a uniform

But there again if the surveillance had failed already they wouldn't need to go to the bother.

CaptainMyCaptain · 23/03/2021 08:09
@captainMyCaptain. Ive just watched all episodes again. Was that series 5? I cant remember them finding jackie laverty
Her body parts were mixed up with those of John Corbett but they didn't find out where they had been or what had happened to her.
