Anybody know when it starts? All I've found is this Radio Times article saying it will start before the end of March this year. www.radiotimes.com/tv/drama/line-of-duty-season-six-release-date/ Kelly Macdonald is due to guest star.

And frankly, I'm one of these people who get character mixed up if they are wearing the same colour top at any time in the programme - even if they have different colour hair, so I don't stand a chance with LoD - all those uniforms; complicated plot lines continuing from one series to the next (but sometimes missing a series in between) and everybody calling each other "Guv" and then going into a different office and someone called them "Guv" - my head is spinning sometimes .

"Is that the woman that asked X about Y?"

"No - that's the woman who told Z that A was meeting B secretly. She and X were in the ladies at the police station talking about C's drug habit."

"I thought it was the woman with the stripey top who was talking about C"

"No - C had a fight with the woman in the stripey top about something she hadn't entered in the database."

According to this article, Tatleen won’t be back this series as Taj Atwal who plays her was filming the Syndicate.

I got the impression Jo and her boss were in cahoots. It was the way she said “if this is to go the way we want we need to find out who the CHIS is” or something similar - it implied to me there was a plan, and probably one that involved the CHIS croaking it so he couldn’t reveal that Terry isn’t the one who confessed.

Anyone here think that Jo is the sister of John Corbett? I can't remember how old John was when his mother was killed and if the times would correspond with the age Jo was in that picture with her mother.

All this mixing up of the Asians in this thread is a bit off. They dont all look the same, people.

This. I've noticed it on previous LoD threads too.

I hope Buckles doesn't meet a grisly end. I liked him and his eye rolling at Roz Huntley in series 4.

There was lots of dramatic. overly long stares in the Hill's office I thought. Farida is definitely a loose cannon.

I get most characters mixed up, but Farida is Scottish, and Tatleen clearly wasn't, so it was obvious they're different.

I doubt Jo is related to Ann Marie, being neither NI nor Scouse.

This may be a silly question, but did last night's episode have one of the long beeps during one of Terry's interviews? I was listening for it and I thought they made reference to it, but I didn't hear it.

(I ask because recently my kids have complained about noises that I can't hear, and I wonder if I need to get it checked)

I thought Farida was AC12 cos Steve knew her and said she was good (or something to that effect) not because she was also Asian like Maneet.

There are a few people who have got confused who Ryan is / isn't.

And lots of people just generally confused about the plot.

If people weren't so bloody and obviously about multiple characters and what series they were in and what they did and confused about whats going on with even the main characters (Is kate under cover or not or Steve now being Sarg rather than DI etc etc) then maybe you might have a bit more of a case.

But everyone is pretty much going "eh, eh, EH?!" over everything!

Its not exactly easy to have followed every single detail to the letter and remember it all if its been a couple of years since they saw the last series.

I'm struggling and I binge watched all 5 series over the past month!

I've just watched it again. Like a PP, I also thought that the shouty scene between Jo and Buckells towards the end looked a bit staged - as if they were putting on a show for the benefit of anyone who happened to be around (Kate)?.

I came back to MN after a break as I was excited about LOD being back, and stupidly thought everyone felt the same and would avoid getting into a bunfight over other people's comments. Oh well.

Does anyone know if Carmichael is going to be in this series? I thought she was a great character from series five. She is certainly someone you love to hate. Anna Maxwell-Martin was brilliant (hope that's her name).

I've read on twitter that lots arent happy with the Terry story.
Tbh I would rather it stopped pretty quickly.
Just feels seedy.

Tbh im sick of racism being the default explanation for everything atm.

Sometimes its just as simple as innocent confusion and to state this is to then get touchy comments about 'oh have i touched a nerve'.

No. Just tedious with identity politics which will lead to a unfortunate backlash.

Sometime, just sometimes thinking about alternative explainations as well wouldn't go amiss.

Frankly yes, ive got the characters in each series confused.

I also found Bloodlines REALLY confusing because of the two white beardy guys of a similar build (the copper and the gangster) recently. It drove me nuts and got really confusing.

I can also say the same of Amazon's The Expanse and trying to remember who the fuck is who.

I think its a symptom of having a huge number of characters and a complex plot.
