Anybody know when it starts? All I've found is this Radio Times article saying it will start before the end of March this year. www.radiotimes.com/tv/drama/line-of-duty-season-six-release-date/ Kelly Macdonald is due to guest star.

Can't wait!

(Apologies if there's another thread, I couldn't find one.)

Also I'm annoyed because I removed Buckles from my homemade bingo sheet this afternoon and replaced it with something else then he turns up in the first sodding scene Angry

TheCuddy · 21/03/2021 22:39

@ScribblingPixie

Aaagh, I can't remember ANYTHING from the previous series.
I KNOW. Maddening.
SchadenfreudePersonified · 21/03/2021 22:39

@Buggerthebotox

Trouble is, so many cops are bent: we've got Prasad, Gates, Baines, Cole, Denton, Dryden, Hilton, Huntley, Hargreaves and possibly Ted, all of whom are bent in some way. But are any of them H? I think it's probably a random codename.
NOT TED!

WASH YOUR MOUTH/ KEYBOARD OUT!!!

FranklySonImTheGaffer · 21/03/2021 22:40

Thoroughly enjoyed that - lots of stories being set up and things to unravel as the series does on.
Bit sad Kate and Steve aren't a team (yet) but can't wait for it all to kick off properly 🍿

putcarpetdown · 21/03/2021 22:41

they're all a bit bent, even Ted turned out to have feet of clay

Piggywaspushed · 21/03/2021 22:41

Hmmm.... watched it now.

Confused, really.

Not quite as intense as your average first episode.

Shall read Guardian and listen to Shrine of Duty tomorrow.

I liked Ted's pip band line!

Piggywaspushed · 21/03/2021 22:41

PIPE band.

Rollergirl11 · 21/03/2021 22:42

I usually like Kelly McDonald but I didn’t think she was convincing in this role. Jo Davidson seemed really ineffectual and not commanding enough. Unless that’s the point.

Also I don’t understand how Kate wouldn’t recognise Terry? I’m sure her and Steve have been to his flat before. Or does she know but isn’t saying for some reason?

Anne1958 · 21/03/2021 22:43

I haven’t understood a single thing from the previous series. I just don’t get the storyline at all and I doubt I’ll understand this series either. Never has anything on the TV gone right over my head the way Line of Duty has.

IdblowJonSnow · 21/03/2021 22:43

Laverty's body was never found. That's why the fridge/freezer wasn't missing. I don't think Jo is going to be bent. Looks like Kate is undercover already. I think this series is going to be great.
Recently rewatched S5, glad I did, there is always so much going on!

unique1986 · 21/03/2021 22:43

I used to fancy Steve but not anymore for some reason.
And weirdly I suddenly am attracted to Kelly Macdonald. Like a baddie.😉

8dpwoah · 21/03/2021 22:43

It did feel a bit of a Lindsey Denton rehash though- crime happening en route to something else. I know it's not exactly the same but can't decide if it's a plot device, slightly lazy, or just me being picky.

putcarpetdown · 21/03/2021 22:44

GQ has a handy 'bent ranking'

didn't realise GQ was still a thing but there you go

Did they realise that Dot was the Caddy in the previous series?

8dpwoah · 21/03/2021 22:45

@Rollergirl11 I agree, shrill and panicked. Maybe that's how she's meant to be but she had less presence and authority than the people at stately homes that make sure you don't touch anything.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 21/03/2021 22:47

Out of 10? I'd give him 1... Wink

I saw what you did there . . . Grin

wildthingsinthenight · 21/03/2021 22:49

@Titsinknicks

Wasn't Jackie's body found with Stephen Graham's body - her bits were in the freezer in the flat of the young Chap who was tonight's suspect? Sorry forget his name. Boyle
Yes that was it!
FlatToppedTree · 21/03/2021 22:49

@GreenTeaPingPong

Did they realise that Dot was the Caddy in the previous series?
Yes, that all came out in S3.
cutthebs · 21/03/2021 22:49

I've only just realised (from reading this thread) that Ryan the baddie who had just joined police is the same little lad passing the phones around from S1!!! ShockShock

Janus · 21/03/2021 22:50

I watched the last series this week - Corbett had a sister, could that be Mac Donald looking at the family photo in this episode I really think it was the same mum, Anne Marie??

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 21/03/2021 22:50

I think we’re all focusing on the delay during the route to the flats rather than focusing on the initial delay from the previous night when approval was held up.

GreenTeaPingPong · 21/03/2021 22:50

People saying Kelly Macdonald is 'from Nanny Macphee' makes me feel old. She was, and always will be, Kelly Macdonald from Trainspotting.

NeedToKnow101 · 21/03/2021 22:51

The armed robbery spotting at speed was ridiculous. Ah well it's LoD all is forgiven.
