Funniest Gavin and Stacey moments

Just finished rewatching the 3 series, one of my all time favourite tv shows. For me the funniest moment is when Dave says to Nessa 'are you talking about our relationship? Or the Calor gas?' And then when Nessa and Smithy are on the dodgems and they stop to see Dave standing holding a tank of gas even thinking about it has me laughing out loud

This thread inspired me to put it on, so I'm watching the Pete and Dawn renewal episode.

The first time they have sex in London - the noises coming from the bathroom where Nessa and smithy are!

I also love the scene when they all end up having a bit of a party at Pam and Mocks after doing shots etc. They're all dancing to Madness and Stacey is desperate to have sex with Gavin and get pregnant. He is dancing to Madness and says ' Let me just finish this' ... I can relate, hate being interrupted during a drunken dance.

At Stacey’s hen night she has a stripogram who sprays squirty cream on his winkie, then a bit later on you see Nessa with a bit of cream at the corner of her mouth 😂

Pam at the phone mast protest complaining that she can’t get a signal on her phone

Rudi and her friend arguing about whether Rudi was snogging the other girls boyfriend on the fire escape

Smithy asking how many pain killers he would need to end his life and then saying he couldn’t afford that amountif he was going to have a holiday later in the year.

Far too any more funny bits to mention. Just LOVE the show.

The oven glove scene was in Mick’s kitchen, he was roasting lamb andPete tries out the oven gloves by taking the tin from the oven to the counter and back again several times, marvelling at how he can’t feel any heat through them. Gavin and Smithy comment on how awful tea towels are instead of oven gloves and Smithy shows a blister on his hand.

We always call out "Anybody order a Chinese" in an Essex accent when we bring a takeaway home.

Pretty much all of Pam's scenes. Love her nicknames for people Fat No More Pat etc.

The whole scene where they order the Indian, with Nessa, Gav and Stacey in the car and the rest of them in Pam and Micks - especially when Smithy kicks off.

The bit in the first Christmas special where they’re all arguing over the top of each other and Pam cries out “...like the bitches of Eastwick!” before Nessa tries to chin her. There are so many glorious moments though. I need to rewatch it, even though it’s dated badly.

There are so many bits, and even though I've watched it all a million times I'm still finding new bits. But the winner for me is the KFC seduction

disgruntledpelican how do you think it has dated? I re watched it with my teen DD and the old mobiles look dated but other than that I can't think of much else.... but it feels like yesterday to me anyway, especially the music.
I honestly may watch them all again during lockdown.

Or when Pam was so angry at Sonya for body shaming Smithy then in the same breath said 'Big Fat Sue' told her something or other about Sonya, made me laugh

When Stacey asks Dave Coaches if she can smoke on his coach & he says "Fags and weed, glue and speed but I draws the line at crack." I have a massive crush on Dave 😂

Pam crying at the mummy badger on Pet Rescue. Still, life goes on, c'est la vie! Those steaks won't cook themselves.

I also love when Gavin & Smithy slip over when they're running to get to the maternity unit.
At Neil the baby's baptism when Smithy asks Nessa why he's wearing a dress and she replies "I don't know!"

The takeaway order, so brilliantly observed, we have it framed on our kitchen wall.
Dawn falling over drunk during the dancing to Madness episode and Pete missing the end of the Conga outside.
Gav ringing Smithy whilst BandAid playing and coming in correctly at the right point and Smithy’s little ‘yes!’ And ‘Doom! It’s doom’ - we always say that over the top whenever the song is played.

Guaranteed to make me laugh are Doris's out of time drum beats as Bryn sings. It just adds to the hilarity that it was unscripted and genuinely awful!
