Anyone watching.

I too was worried about what she would do with the hot water bottle!

She will definitely need to be watched when she gets out, I’m sure she’ll still be after Rob. 😞

I was happy to see Earl was found not guilty, I felt very sorry for him.

Ebhc · 06/01/2021 09:32

She didn't come across as clever, she was just lucky it took a while for her to be caught. Feel so sorry for her children.

Waterbaby2029 · 06/01/2021 09:34

@heuchterteuchter

Police were so patient, I did like the custody sergeant tho!

I found her poor me, confused, I've-no-idea-what-you're-talking-about very frustrating and am glad she got the jail. I really hope her son is somewhere safe.

I think the opposite. I don't think they were patient with her at all. They kept losing it over her requests. She was totally controlling the situation.
itsgettingweird · 06/01/2021 09:39

I've been reading FB posts about this this morning.

Never watched it but my ds loves police programmes so I think this is one for us on catch up today!

What channel is it and is it Monday and Tuesday episodes?

Doilooklikeatourist · 06/01/2021 09:44

We only watched , because DS recommended the series before ( about drug money , which was equally as gripping ) and well worth watching if you've not seen it

Awful , awful woman

LizzieSiddal · 06/01/2021 09:55

Waterbaby they were very patient and polite with her, to her face. I don’t blame them for letting off steam when away from her.

I don't mean academically clever. But her manipulation skills were quite clever. She knew exactly how to work the police and they bit
Floralnomad · 06/01/2021 10:25

I’m glad they didn’t charge Earl , he was just a bit of a sad case trying to impress with his ‘big man’ chat . The ex husband needs to change his name and be in some kind of protection programme as she won’t stop . I hope she doesn’t regain custody of the little boy when she gets out .

Waterbaby2029 · 06/01/2021 10:29

To her face they were acting ok but behind the scenes they were losing their shit. Just get her a gluten free sandwich. It's not that hard. They are not Doctors/Medical Specialists so can not ascertain whether she is faking or not. All the rude comments behind her back about her condition. They should treat her as if she is not faking it because they do not have any proof that she is.

She certainly appeared as if she was exaggerating her symptoms but we might be thinking this because of the way the programme was representing her and what the police were saying.

MorrisZapp · 06/01/2021 10:33

I've seen male suspects do similar on this show too. They try the lot. Faking heart attacks, pretending they can't hear, hobbling on one leg then forgetting which leg, and the 'no comment' interviews that must drive the police mental.

This woman was an absolute nightmare but I've seen oceans of gendered rage towards her on SM as if she's a unique time waster. She absolutely isn't. Suspects will lie, play act, feign ignorance or illness etc to avoid engaging. Most of them do it to some extent.

Nikhedonia · 06/01/2021 10:34

The police said she was the biggest time waster they had ever came across. I find that hard to believe!

Medievalist · 06/01/2021 10:49

I presume the accused and witnesses all have to agree to be filmed and for the film to be broadcast? In which case I can't understand why anyone would agree to it? If I was guilty I'd be terrified I might give something away on camera that might otherwise go undetected. And you'd think the men wouldn't want the world to know they'd been taken in by her. You'd also think her ex wouldn't want his face broadcast and recognised - for his daughter's sake at least.

Toddlerteaplease · 06/01/2021 11:02

I totally understand why the HCP in the interview place was not willing to let them interview her. Even though she was faking it. It would be her job and registration on the line if it did turn out to be genuine. Also quite right bit to give medication that's not boxed and labelled. I'm surprised the prison didn't dispense it properly.

This was a fascinating watch, but disturbing that Victoria had been manipulating men and the system for years. Lots of unanswered questions, but we’ll never know the answers, due to confidentiality. Surely she must have had to have received a psychiatric assessment pre sentencing and what happened to her little boy?, hopefully he hasn’t been impacted too much, by his mother’s behaviour.

What I don't understand is how do they know when to come and film? Surely they don't get cases every day which are interesting enough for television?

Agreed. I was saying this last night to OH.
Groovee · 06/01/2021 12:01

When Rob was talking about how it was their daughter's room that was destroyed in the car fire... all I could think was, as a mother that terrifies me. She just didn't care, Rob had won custody for whatever reason and she just wants him dead. But at no point did she seem distressed that her daughter could have been killed.

Graeme showing the videos of her climbing about and saying she carried a heavy pram upstairs and calling her out saying "you'll moan about your back for that!"

She really knew what sort of man she needed to go for. She's the sort who gets done for benefit fraud for the dramatics but then caught on camera being a trapeze artist.

NisekoWhistler · 06/01/2021 12:22

Rose poor guys who's lives she turned upside down. She is so dangerous and calculating.

What happens to all that money she had, does anyone know?

Also I absolutely love 24 hrs in police custody and often struggle to get into series, what else do you love to watch that is similar or even not?

LeafCutterAnt · 06/01/2021 12:27

Going to watch this. I thought the one about the corrupt blackmailing police officer and the fake burglary surgeon were briliant

itsgettingweird · 06/01/2021 13:09

Ds on lunch break from his college online learning. We are watching number 1 now. He was most excited at the idea HmmGrin

Cactusowl · 06/01/2021 13:28

I wonder, now it has been broadcasted, if any more men will come forward to say they have been manipulated by her.

I also wonder if she considered pouring the hot water bottle on herself but if she had she’d have been caught on camera.

Rubinia · 06/01/2021 13:55

@Cactusowl she'd have got out of that. I was self harming due to distressed caused by police brutality.

Floralnomad · 06/01/2021 14:12

@Medievalist perhaps her ex thinks he will be safer the more people that know about her .

Dailyhandtowelwash · 06/01/2021 14:23

He'd been pictured and named in the media at the time of the trial, so had no anonymity. His partner was also pictured and named in the press but not notably not in the programme.

HidingInTheLight · 06/01/2021 14:35

@Nikhedonia I think (could be wrong) that’s fixed cameras etc in the police station
