Anyone watching.

@SoddingWeddings That makes sense. I actually think she thinks she’s cleverer than anyone else.

MrsGrindah · 05/01/2021 21:57

Poor bloody prison officers that have to deal with her now

cherrypie790 · 05/01/2021 22:01

Fair play to the Police who had infinite patience dealing with her.

I'd have been dragging her down the corridor by her hair, with all that ham acting about her back. She clearly wasn't as clever as she thought she was.

MorrisZapp · 05/01/2021 22:12

Holy crap! This needs to be a ten part series. Where did she get the money? What's her background? Who's the father of the wee toddler? Did Earl go back on internet dating?

It was utterly compelling.

LadyCatStark · 05/01/2021 22:16

They all did very well not to lose their shit!

Toddlerteaplease · 05/01/2021 22:20

I wonder how her daughter feels about her.

heuchterteuchter · 05/01/2021 22:28

Police were so patient, I did like the custody sergeant tho!

I found her poor me, confused, I've-no-idea-what-you're-talking-about very frustrating and am glad she got the jail. I really hope her son is somewhere safe.

I want the answers to just these questions too!
Crakeandoryx · 05/01/2021 22:31

For someone who had intense pain in her back and neck she managed to shake her head frequently during her denial.

The ear hair is very distracting, like a hamster is stuffed in there.

I wanted to slap her.

Rubinia · 05/01/2021 22:44

I feel so sorry for her children. Let's hope she's not managed to mess up the son and he's safe.
It was a great watch! She was really very disturbing. The bit where the police officer handed her the hot water bottle and she said 'is the air out?'. Confused

Sidge · 05/01/2021 22:58

God I wanted to shake her - I’m a nurse and would have found it hard to be sympathetic. What a load of bollocks. Trying to ask for a sandwich! That custody sergeant had the measure of her lol.

I think people like her can actually be more dangerous than the ones who pull a trigger as she’s so manipulative, exploitative and cunning.

Bluntness100 · 05/01/2021 23:01

I was quite fascinated with it too. She must be a bloody night mare in jail. So demanding.

So manipulative it’s unbelievable.

The boyfriend though was weird, recording her, crying, saying he loved her, all a bit creepy really.

RaspberryCoulis · 05/01/2021 23:10

Love this programme.

The men were clearly vulnerable - mental health issues, learning difficulties, difficult backgrounds. She had quite clearly picked them because they were easily manipulated. The guy crying at the end - it was just more proof that he didnt quite get it, how he'd been played and conned and he seemed to think the relationship was genuine. One of the others had to have "conspiracy" explained to them.

Wasn't buying the wheelchair thing at all, she was slumped right over, then when being questioned was upright. The female detective was spot on - totally playing the system.

Her poor children. Imagine growing up knowing your mum spent years telling everyone your dad was a paedophile, and trying to arrange to have him killed.

I thought she was going to undo it and pour the boiling water over her hand to avoid being interviewed
Athenajm80 · 05/01/2021 23:21

The HCP annoyed me cause she seemed to fall for all the pain bullshit.

Earl and his mum both made me sad, it seemed to me that there was a hereditary element to the learning difficulties as he called them. When he said that people know he's a bit thick (I think those were his words) I felt bad for him.

Definitely loving the custody sergeant, he wasn't taking her shit!

Chambored · 05/01/2021 23:21

I feel sorry for poor Rob.
She’s going to be even worse after 9.5 years in prison (though I guess she may serve less).
Poor fella and her poor daughter. The arson attack was horrific.
I felt sorry for the other blokes too. She had clearly picked them due to their vulnerabilities.
Fascinating series.

Italiangreyhound · 05/01/2021 23:46

I'm quite amazed that when faced with this very awful woman that anyone is surprised at the men she has chosen to manipulate. I think it is so sad.

Poor Rob how awful for him. And her daughter who could easily have been killed in the fire if the house caught on fire.

I'm curious which count she was snot found guilty on.

I've been reading the press and she was found not guilty of soliciting one of her former boyfriends. Think it was probably the guy who said in the programme that she'd never done that but he knew about the guy in Germany.

Italiangreyhound · 06/01/2021 00:18

Ah thanks. I think she asked the current boyfriend, the previous husband but that did not go to court, the guy in Germany, etc.

Just so determined. I sort of wonder if she will ever be safe to let out!

Nikhedonia · 06/01/2021 00:45

I really feel for the prison staff that have to deal with her for the next 9.5 years. She is such a dangerous woman. Her poor DD Sad

Dailyhandtowelwash · 06/01/2021 01:00

We were also puzzled by the lack of solicitor but there was reference to her having one when she was protesting about being in too much pain.

Fascinating to watch, and very funny to see the police frustration, but she was uncannily like someone we know, and that made it weird to watch. So many similarities that we were saying ‘I bet she says/does x next’ and then she did. The person we know has a diagnosed personality disorder.

Toddlerteaplease · 06/01/2021 09:15

@Rubinia I thought she was going to claim the hot water bottle had leaked and scolded her. So she'd need another trip to hospital.

I thought that at first, but I don't think she would have been willing to inflict pain on herself, nor have a 'visible' injury that the staff could administer first aid for or the hospital could say she was lying about the severity of her pain. Very clever.

Waterbaby2029 · 06/01/2021 09:31

Ha ha She was hilarious.

I'm surprised she didn't collapse on the floor and demand to be taken to hospital.
To be fair I thought she would have refused to answer questions 'no comment' etc.
I think she would have got away with it if she had.

She could have argued that the money was planted their by the new boyfriend who was insanely jealous.
