Is anyone else looking forward to this? Once it finishes, The Falcon And The Winter Soldier starts, and then Louise after that. After 2020 being a Marvel-less year I am quite excited for a big dose of MCU escapism.

Paul Bettany mentioned an actor he’s wanted to work with having a cameo. Don’t think Quicksilver is the cameo.
BC/Dr Strange doesn’t seem big enough. We came up with Capt M or either Prof X or either Magneto.

@Sparticle also a PP told you to watch first class, but quicksilver actually isn’t in that one! The one you need to watch is Days of Future Past, suggest you and your son check it out!

It still annoys me how under used he was in the last X Men film..it was a bad film in general though so not surprised.

I read a Den of Geek thing yesterday and they had a list including Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart ... and Tom Cruise.

And wasn't it x-rays not scans that they did and were whited out? Doesn't that happen when there's too much radiation?

I wouldn't be impressed if it were Tom Cruise. If it were Patrick Stewart my inner geek would be overloaded, I would quite possibly explode and die. I love Patrick Stewart.

Thanks :) I’ve seen the original trilogy and possibly First Class many years ago. Do you think DS could watch DoFP without any prior knowledge or is it another series we are going to have to start watching 😅

They also said Tom Cruise wanted to be Ironman. I just can't see it. I can't see Marvel films would have ever made it off the ground.

Imagine watching the entire series of Wandavision and imagining who this magical mythical actor is - only to be met with Tom bloody Cruise

I've just watched this with 10yo DS and it was fine. He really enjoyed it and we followed it with X Men Apocalyse. I did give him a short background it before it started though.

We watched Avengers today and Visions voice was still Jarvis ironmans computer, I had totally forgotten.

I think that episode was more confusing than any of the others! How come some of the characters like Norm seem completely unaware that anything is weird and others like the doctor and the mailman know that they can't leave and it's not quite normal? There was some definite shade thrown when captain marvel was mentioned! I'm also not convinced Hayward isn't up to something

Was going to watch DOFP with dc but decided to watch the first X-Men film instead, so they’ve familiarised with most of the characters.
Then jumping into DOFP, as that’s when Quicksilver first appears and hopefully should have enough background info from the first film to understand what’s going on.

My theory is that someone evil (don't know who - it's not that good a theory!) has somehow resurrected Vision and put him and Wanda into Westview. That's why Wanda said she didn't know how it started. She knows it's not right but is so happy to have Vision back that she's going along with it. The evil person has done this to keep Wanda pre-occupied and out of the way so they can carry out their evil plan. This may be the same person you see in the Falcon & Winter Solder trailer who says superheroes must not be allowed to exist.

The baddie is Falcon & Winter Solider is Baron Zemo - the same one in Captain America: Civil War - he didn't die at the end. You can hear his voice in the trailer. But yes, he is very anti-superhero.

@Mrsjayy so I think I'm right in saying they just have a cctv video of Wanda taking Vision. So either it isn't actually her or someone made her do it.
I think that would explain why she isn't in control of everything. She isn't controlling Vision as he's starting to realise something's not right, she doesn't seem to be controlling the boys growing and I don't think she brought her brother into it given how shocked she looked. I think that's another attempt by whoever it is to keep her there.

She can't control the boys. I suspect they will play a bigger roll once in their teens due to their own powers. Maybe even help defeat the baddie, whoever it is.

No vision didn't want to be turned into a weapon so was disassembled put in storage she took him.

I think that's another attempt by whoever it is to keep her there.
That sounds like a decent shout - along the same lines of just what they need turning up (Agnes popping round with a dog kennel?!?), the controller trying to give her everything to keep her there. Why?!?

She certainly was able to step in and out of the hex at will (and when out of it, reverted to her Avengers Endgame outfit and Sokovian accent!), so it doesn’t seem she’s actually trapped there. Maybe she can’t be trapped, that’s why they’re giving her everything she wants so she stays voluntarily.

That's what I think @LemonViolet - whoever is in control is doing everything to keep her there by giving her everything she's ever wanted. She's maybe too powerful to be kept against her will but will stay so she has Vision in her life.
