Is anyone else looking forward to this? Once it finishes, The Falcon And The Winter Soldier starts, and then Louise after that. After 2020 being a Marvel-less year I am quite excited for a big dose of MCU escapism.

Just caught up with ep6 now and doing an immediate rewatch! Wish the episodes were longer.

Pietro/Peter’s lines are the most revealing.
“You probably suppressed a lot of trauma”
“You’re testing me”
“Just trying to play my part....it’s what you wanted”
“Details are fuzzy” (it seems despite clearly being from an alternate universe, he only has original MCU Pietro’s memories ? Yet he knows he looks different).
And then the whole conversation in the town square.....and the vision of Zombie Pietro....WHAT DOES IT MEAN?!? Grin

Vision exploring the outer reaches of the Hex and finding all the background people stuck still was so creepy...that woman with the tear on her cheek! Was Agnes trying to escape? She was looking for a necklace when she was woken up by Vision, what was that about? Herb clearly knows Wanda is in control as well. I think they all do now they just vary in their ability to break character depending on how close to Wanda they are.

It seems Vision’s existence depends on the Hex, or on Wanda’s powers at least. I don’t think he’s going to survive the resolution of this :-( when Hayward says “he really does want out doesn’t he”..... I do wonder if Hayward has a lot more to do with this than is being let on. He won’t be a Skrull though - they’re allied with Capt Marvel right - a few months after this Talos is playing Nick Fury in Spider-Man 2 remember.

The SWORD camp becoming a circus/carnival was cute. Wonder what role Darcy has been given and how much awareness she’s retained.

I paused on rewatch and the some of the gravestones in the town square scare say “Dr Rivus” and “JS Sammelman” on them - given that no reference is wasted in this, who are they?

MamaNewtNewt · 13/02/2021 07:37

Just found this thread, really loving Wandavision so far and can't wait for Falcon and the Winter Soldier. DH and I have started watching the Marvel films again (mixing it up by going for chronological order) so will watch Wandavision again when done.

I really loved the way Wanda, Vision, the twins and Pietro were in their comic book costumes.

Sammelmam is an Assistant Director - can't take credit for spotting this Buzzfeed do an article each week where they list Easter eggs and some theories.

KatherineJaneway · 13/02/2021 11:04

Vision is the version of Vision Wanda has created from her interpretation, apparently, hence he knows some information yet not others.

I think that's right but I wondered why he didn't know he was an Avenger. And Agnes initially isn't surprised he is alive at first.

Berrys245 · 13/02/2021 13:56

This week was quite sinister- fitting for a Halloween episode! 🎃
The frozen people (especially with the woman with the slow tear) and the advert with a dead child stood out as very creepy. It all adds to the mystery of the show which makes it so frustrating but is also why I love it!
I agree with a PP that Buzzfeed’s weekly summary is good for references and things you might have missed.
The tension between Wanda and Vision was interesting and how it quickly switched back to ‘wacky sitcom’ mode. They are lying to each other. Not good in any marriage!
I was probably the only person still giving Hayward the benefit of the doubt up to this week. But obviously I fully hate him now! What he said to Monica about her mother- low blow 😠 But I did like the ‘which one of you is the sassy best friend’. Monica was in that role when she was in the Hex so now I guess it’s Darcy’s turn. Can not wait to see her in there 😀

KatherineJaneway · 13/02/2021 16:10

I now think this isn't Wanda. I think she is being manipulated somehow.

DanielODonkey · 13/02/2021 17:42

Just thinking about the episode again and remembered Pietro asking Wanda where she got the children from. Where did they come from?

He has to be a spy though? He's asking her a lot of questions digging for info.

And Herb asking her if he was to redo something but Wanda not understanding makes me think she really isn't in control of it all. But she is trying to keep Vision safe. She took him from the lab because they were experimenting on him, in my mind, and is trying to keep him safe rather than us8ng him for nefarious purposes. But whether there is another party manipulating her is what I'm wondering about...

Mrsjayy · 13/02/2021 17:46

We are watching civil war Vision is making Wanda goulash. Simpler times Grin

Whatsnewpussyhat · 13/02/2021 19:56

Falcon/winter soldier is starting week after this finishes then Loki after that.

We know it's setting the stage for multiverse stuff with spiderman and Dr Strange but also rumours of Young Avengers. This includes the twins, young loki, and I think monica. In the comics, Vision is also part of the group so if staying true they need a way to keep him. Possibly getting a mind stone from a parallel universe?

As he's basically a computer, I wonder if his pieces contained memories. I don't think the mind stone we see in this is real. Just part of the illusion.

Darcy could be a fortune teller with outside knowledge Grin

If it isn't Wanda they will need the twins to be teens to help fight.
If it is Wanda they will need the twins to be teens to help fight her!

It's clear they are not controlled by her.

Mrsjayy · 13/02/2021 20:41

I am looking forward to falcon and winter soldier Sam and Bucky are hilarious.

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 13/02/2021 21:26

Hello everyone.

My own personal theory on Vision: a lot of Vision comes from JARVIS, Tony Stark's AI. JARVIS was a learning AI - he evolved and developed from Tony's original invention. Quite often, JARVIS would do what was ultimately right for Tony, even if it meant going against his own creator's orders.

So I think Wanda, never having met JARVIS, hasn't realised this, and Vision will protect his creator in much the same way - by disobeying their orders for their own good.

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 13/02/2021 21:48

@IsabelleSE19 would love that!! Still annoys me he never got told in the Xmen about being his father and seeing how badly Dark Phoenix did and was..never will be.

Sad there's not many episodes left!

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 13/02/2021 21:49

In the Xmen films*

newlabelwriter · 13/02/2021 22:58

DH has a theory that this is the set up for Monica Rambeau’s origin story and that she is going to be the next superhero. The molecular (or something like that) change in her blood seems to be setting her up for that 🤷‍♀️

Whatsnewpussyhat · 14/02/2021 00:30

Monica's powers will be similar to Captain Marvel.

lovecraftcounty · 14/02/2021 09:53

My thoughts
-clearly sword was experimenting with visions corpse probably to weaponize it(project cataract)
-not sure if sword head(hayman?) is evil or just unpleasant
-quicksilver is interesting I hope hes really back
I would like vision to survive this but I dont see how as he did die twice.

lovecraftcounty · 14/02/2021 09:58

What does everyone think the deal is with quicksilver?
Will he stay?
How did he know vision was really dead?

Mrsjayy · 14/02/2021 10:26

I don't know what to think any more by brain is mushed by it allConfused

JustTurtlesAllTheWayDown · 14/02/2021 11:33

@lovecraftcounty

What does everyone think the deal is with quicksilver? Will he stay? How did he know vision was really dead?
Oh that's a really good point. MCU Quicksilver died long before End Game so wouldn't have known about Vision's death, and X Men Quicksilver shouldn't have known anything other than whatever memories might have been implanted for the Hex. The show's too carefully scripted for that to just be a throwaway line. I wonder what it signifies.
NovemberNameChangeYeahBaby · 14/02/2021 16:50

I think that, although Wanda might be in control of the mechanics of Westview, she's being manipulated by an external force to create it. Not sure why, siphoning off her magic maybe? But Vision got close to persuading her that she was doing something very wrong, so the external force sent 'Pietro' to distract her. She clearly had no idea that 'Pietro' was coming and is suspicious of who he actually is. So I don't think that he will exist outside of Westview.

I thought Agnes had some degree of control but it looks like she doesn't. As for Vision not knowing what an Avenger was, he has said he doesn't remember anything from before Westview.

It was interesting that Hayward ( what a dick) called his nefarious operation Cataract- because cataracts steal your vision don't they. Surely he's too much of an overt asshole to be actually evil as well as a douchebag?

Which brings me to the Skrulls. Though I don't think they're especially involved in these shenanigans, I also think assuming that all Skrulls are decent because Talos was is like saying all humans are decent because Carol Danvers is. There's still plenty of scope for asshole Skrulls to want a bit of what Earth has - but I think that's for another TV show or film.

Figgygal · 14/02/2021 17:27

Aw brill thread
Every week I just feel sadder and sadder you can just feel it hurtling towards a really painful end for vision and for Wanda she’s going to have to give him up at some point and what will happen with the boys now that they exist Sad

Berrys245 · 14/02/2021 17:35

I agree- Pietro was ‘recast’ by an external force. The timing of his arrival was to distract Vision but it wasn’t Wanda who did it. Pietro even says something about ‘playing his part, creating tension with the brother in law’. He is asking lots of questions though so I’m not sure he was sent by whoever did start this/ is in control. So maybe he was sent by someone else who is trying to stop Wanda but help at the same time (x men maybe, given his movie of origin).
I had a horrible thought about the series as a whole. They aren’t going to leave us on a cliffhanger that doesn’t get resolved until a film that’s not due out for another two years, are they?!?! I am enjoying the speculation about what’s really going on and how it will end but we definitely need answers at the end of the series. They can’t tease us just to make us watch the rest of the Marvel shows and films 😩

GoOnTwo · 14/02/2021 17:45

Maybe the recast is a dimension thing? I thought Wanda did it or it was a side effect of her creation.

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 14/02/2021 19:38

@Berrys245 noooo didn't think of that!!! Its definitely going to lead onto different films but hopefully resolved first...please!!!

LemonViolet · 14/02/2021 22:06

Oh there’ll definitely be some unresolved loose ends, I just hope they give us enough to keep us happy!

I thought there weren’t that many Skrulls left and Talos was basically their leader? Just a band of refugees?

As well as Pietro knowing that Vision was dead, he also knew that real-life couples had been kept together in the Hex, that their personalities were similar - how would he know that as well?

There’s a lot of theories that Pietro isn’t Pietro, but I think he has to be a Pietro, as he has the speedster skill. I think whomever is controlling/manipulating Wanda has bought Pietro in from the X-universe, and implanted knowledge/memories in his head in order to use him to control Wanda further.

APurpleSquirrel · 14/02/2021 23:47

Also Petrio knew that the town children had reappeared - after Vision questioned why he'd not seen any children, suddenly the town is full of them & he asked Wanda where she'd been keeping them.
