No, thankfully not. Nor does there seem to be any plan to be headed that way! So much so, that Kathy has even asked Sharon to get the marriage annulled 😯

PinkDaydreams · 27/12/2020 08:51

Thank goodness! I know sex is a natural thing but Ian will hava permanent smug look on his face and brag to everyone that he's had sex with Sharon. Probably put a banner up in the pub announcing it!!

SoupDragon · 27/12/2020 09:02

Why is someone saying Sharon will run Ian out of town? Is he supposed to be leaving/taking a break?

I can't see how else this will end.

the80sweregreat · 27/12/2020 09:41

No wonder she is pumping Ian with sleeping tablets to stop him chasing after her in the bedroom!
Tina was awesome telling Gray his fortune!
' I see you , Gray' best bit of acting she's done in a while
Mick is really annoying me ( more than Ian does) that face!
Linda doesn't look convinced by Max does she? She did look nice in pink , although where they get her clothes from I don't know as you rarely see ladies pink clothes like that online!

SoupDragon · 27/12/2020 09:50

Katy is horrible. I hope they finish that story off sooner rather than later.

the80sweregreat · 27/12/2020 09:53

Me too! Her face is so smug and insincere isn't it?
SoupDragon · 27/12/2020 09:58

Yes.

EE does do a good job of showing "difficult" characters though. She has shown how people can be manipulative to someone who is vulnerable and make them believe stuff that, to an outsider, plainly isn't true.

SoupDragon · 27/12/2020 09:58

(Mick isn't generally vulnerable but this bit of his past is his weak spot)

BettyCarver · 27/12/2020 10:02

We had some insights into Ian’s sex life when he was with Jane... anyone remember ‘Captain Beale’? Grin

the80sweregreat · 27/12/2020 10:03

Mick and Linda were a breath of fresh air when they rocked up one Christmas to run the pub. A Happy family with a desire to better themselves with their own pub at last. In typical EE style it
.. Didn't last long !

Oh god yes! Mind you, at least Jane seemed to like him a bit ( at first)

I can see him having a break though - like he did when he had the mental health crash and went walkabout.

BettyCarver · 27/12/2020 10:15

@the80sweregreat
“Ahoy there, all aboard Sharon?” Grin

Sharonspoisonedpud · 27/12/2020 10:23

Ah so Sharons not trying to poison him, shes keeping him sleepy so he doesnt get too frisky!
Good one Sharon.
Im not remotely fussed that they have ruined a 35 year friendship.
Ian is a smug, whiny, self serving twerp -he had it coming quite frankly😂
He killed her son so he deserves everything
Sharon can throw at him.

Omg Tina !
" I see you Gray"
So so powerful. Chills down my spine.
Was annoyed the way Chantelles death played out but they have played a blinder here.
My own family experience of DV is just that.
Life and soul of the party, nice, charming, law abiding bloke who terrorised my DM away from the eyes of others.
They dont look like monsters.

Scared for Tina though.

SpanishFly · 27/12/2020 10:29

I dont think Tina will get hurt/killed, esp not by dishwasher, as that would make it too obvious to the police Calum that grey did it. I have a feeling it will continue with Tina goading him for a bit, until she can prove it or until he breaks

Sharonspoisonedpud · 27/12/2020 10:31

I think he will attack Tina and Shirl will catch him.
The " knives go up" was the lightbulb moment indicating his controlling nature.

Optimistlestoe1 · 27/12/2020 10:49

Can anyone enlighten me as to what that photo was that Tina gave to Mick? He's been brooding over it ever since, and obviously relates to his childhood, but I couldn't see who the three people in it were.

Thismustbelove · 27/12/2020 10:51

So so powerful. Chills down my spine.

It’s interesting how we all view it so differently.

When Tina was doing that scene, I kept thinking Tina turning into Poiret is the most unbelievable yet. The same woman is barely competent enough to complete a fifty piece jigsaw yet solved the whole thing based on something Kheerat said.
My hopes were up that she’d finally leave the square.

the80sweregreat · 27/12/2020 10:58

I know Tina hasn't hasn't had many good storylines over the years but that was good plus she's had experience of this because of Tosh , her abusive ex g/ friend.
I know she is usually annoying though.
'All aboard the captain Beale '.. put me off my bacon and eggs this morning! :)
(Surely he wouldn't though after Denny dying on a boat ? :) ...
Plus I had forgotten that the lovely Dee nearly married Ian once too.
His been through a few women has Ian. Nothing went well.

SophieB100 · 27/12/2020 11:03

Dear god, they're not going to make us watch the consummation are they? Hasn't this year been awful enough? They'll need one of those voiceovers and helpline numbers after the credits: "If you've been affected by issues raised in tonight's episode, etc".

I think Suki's dishy son (can never remember his name) will save Tina...don't know how, but he will.

She hasnt turned into Poirot she was previously on a DV situation and recognised the signs that others missed.

Sorry but I think EE have made a very important point here.
"I see you" is the most powerful point here.

Abusers are not abusive to everyone, they are usually absolutely fine with everyone else and people are astonished that nice man next door or your lovely mother are in fact horrifically abusive to their partners or children.

the80sweregreat · 27/12/2020 11:05

The way Ian was so groggy yesterday , he'd clearly fall asleep before dtd!

I reckon he’d have a good try... wearing his dressing gown and furry slippers

It was a photo of mick and Tina with Katy when they were in care. Tina told him it was taken before some football match which we know was the football match that preceded Katy taking him back to her house and abusing him.
