Extra Slice is tedious tonight. Who are these "comedians"? Never heard of any of 'em.

Sadly I know who they all are but I can't be bothered to write a potted history of them. Professional attention seekers will suffice.

Im so sad that linda went - obviously it was an awful week for her and she had to go but i loved her!

One of the “comedians” I think does the voice over for Love Island.

First time I've seen Extra Slice. Won't make a habit of it. Very tedious

I think they're struggling with ES. It's overlong and there's not enough decent material to fill an hour imho. I think it used to be half an hour when GBBO was on BBC. It was better then.

I'm really sorry Linda has gone too. She seemed really skilled and positive and I liked her personality.

Linda was so lovely. She had such a lovely attitude towards the competition. Am I remembering rightly that she lost her daughter at a young age?

Yes I think her daughter was disabled and died at 19. One of Linda’s bakes was a tribute to her.

100% agree with this. All I'm really interested in are the outtakes and interviews with departed contestants. Pics of home bakes gone wrong are also funny. No more needed.

I think they could lose all of Tom Allen's segment on Extra Slice very easily - it simply feels like padding.

I thought he was really funny last night.

Fizzboss ref. what happens to the bakes. The crew get them, I can't remember where I read it, but they descend 'like locusts' apparently.

Ref. ES The padding is those ridiculous "games" That the panel have to do IMO. The faux 'judging' of the audiences' bakes COULD be funny but TA makes it too much about him. Jo would do it a million times better.

What's next weeks theme please?

Agree about Lotties faux self deprication. And the way PH flirts with her is annoying as well.
I really liked Linda. Sad that she went.
Peter is lovely and so is Hermine.
They obviously know what some tasks are in advance, Lottie's friend had made those frog things to put her pasties in. So based on that surely you'd have practiced everything possible. Including choux.

And on the subject of pasties, isn't it the filling that makes it 'Cornish' and therefore asking them to make cornish pasties with any filling isn't technically possible?

DD2 was in Japan recently she said that there was sooooo much rubbish , Litlle Kitty type cakes EVERYWHERE, They were yuck.

I like Linda lot on ES, (the difference her hairstyle made) she's a loss to the tent. Actually the 'game' they played wasn't too bad this time!! T.A. was actually funny too Without being too rude.

I bought my adult daughter a box of Japanese snacks and sweets for her birthday. One of the items seems to be dried strips that look a bit like tagliatelle and is made from ground fish. Good with beer apparently. I think that may be the last thing she tries.

They know in advance about everything apart from the technical challenge. The frog plates were in the first challenge weren't they? The signature dish one.

That's a bit harsh. I think he's just very reserved with a limited sense of humour or maybe just not a natural in front of a camera. I think I'm quite witty in real life, but if you put me on Bake Off I would be an incoherent mess with a serious case of foot in mouth. I would not come across well.

To be honest I thought it was Linda's week to leave. The choux buns were a complete disaster. They looked like one of the two times that I've attempted choux pastry and no idea what I did wrong either.

I don't warm to Laura as much as some of the others, but I thought she deserved star baker this week.
