Just a reminder that this fab programme is back

That people who spend £100’s a week amazingly reduce their shopping bill 😂😂

Assuming new series. Hope it is

Greg and Chris help a mum And her two boys Ditch the micro meals

What fabulous meals will they cook

What will they swap

And will they have the usual - I don’t like that - and it’s their usual brand 😂😂😂😂

I think Mum 2 is getting cash in hand.

I just can't believe how much crap food people buy. I always wonder whether they feel unwell eating that way.

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/09/2020 18:05

@tellmewhentheLangshiplandscoz seems it’s not on next Tuesday :(

So much for a new series

2 episodes ffs

I'm sure it said there was going to be 6 programmes according to the website but I did wonder if they could manage to show them all without disappearing off for weeks on end, but apparently not.

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/09/2020 19:15

Instead at 8 on tue

We have the sheriffs are coming

Whatever crap that is !!

Oh that's annoying Angry

I love this programme, I could watch it all the time.

unkindnessofravens · 18/09/2020 20:49

Slightly off topic, but isn't Chris Bavin just lovely? Grin

ZarasHouse · 18/09/2020 20:50

Yes it did seem unbalanced. Dare i say it, a little exploitative. I wouldn't like to advocate for paying cash in hand but in this case I hope the other mum was getting something out of it. It said she does care work so I did wonder if she covers her shifts?

The behavioural expert thing made me smile. How can a behavioural expert not see that getting 3 different takeaways etc. Is crazy?

I used to live in an area where goat meat was in every butcher. Also you could buy oxtail, salt fish, plantain, etc. Really easy. It surprised me when I moved that that isn't true everywhere. Even within a couple of area codes.

tellmewhentheLangshiplandscoz · 19/09/2020 07:47

Why does that always happen? Is it because Greg should only be in small doses?!

MrsHuntGeneNotJeremyObviously · 19/09/2020 07:55

I think the BBC views it as 'filler' TV, to be dumped at will. As usual they are out of touch with the people paying the license fee because they don't realise how many of us enjoy this programme.

jay55 · 19/09/2020 14:53

I tried watching the itv version of this and couldn't make it through an episode.
So annoying it's going off air again. They should at least give us them all on iPlayer.

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/09/2020 17:37

2 on iPlayer. Silly :(

I hadn't realised they've dropped it again how annoying.

I wondered if the deal for the second mum was that she got childcare for her son whilst she worked nights (as she is a carer). So Max slept with the other family on the nights that she worked. Not mentioned on the programme but I could see that being a fair basis for a swap.

I really didn't like Priya - she came over a bit patronising - much preferred the dietician they had before her. I usually enjoy watching Greg cook as he explains things really clearly but I agree that the cauli rice dish was a travesty (and as for the pasta....)

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/09/2020 19:16

This is when we need the mums to come on and say .......

TweetUsOnFacebook · 21/09/2020 12:37

Did anyone notice the kids eating off plastic plates whilst the adults had china? It seemed a bit odd as the youngest was 8 I think.

I assumed carer mum was getting reciprocal childcare if she needed to do nights, weekends or school holidays as other mum worked in a school.

I got tearful too when the son ate the rice. It is wonderful when a picky eater starts to want to try things and actually likes them. My son had a couple of years of pretty much only eating nuggets, chips and beans. It made every mealtime a struggle. He's fully grown now and eats almost anything!

Blondeshavemorefun · 21/09/2020 12:49

Tho making that rank green pasta. Not surprised n one liked

OP posts:
cheesecrack · 21/09/2020 16:46

Yes the green pasta looked horrible. I wouldn’t have liked it and I’m not fussy at all.

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/09/2020 21:55

Well I’d had been on we would have lost it to boris speech

happilybemused · 23/09/2020 12:54

Why does this programme always get mucked about in the schedule. It appears to have disappeared after two episodes. Not on next Tuesday either

Missushbb · 23/09/2020 13:19

@lynsey91

Could those 3 children have names any more similar? Their mum is annoying me already. Choosing silly names for her children, pandering to their ridiculous fussiness.

Why do people not meal plan? Also write shopping lists. Not rocket science is it?

I am amazed people go on this show when it shows them in such a bad light.

I know! I've just had to turn it off, too annoying. Make a list and take it, it's not hard!
Missushbb · 23/09/2020 13:25

@unkindnessofravens

Slightly off topic, but isn't Chris Bavin just lovely? Grin
Yes. He's lovely
tellmewhentheLangshiplandscoz · 23/09/2020 15:16

Also slightly off topic and highly childish but DH and I sniggered like 10 year olds in the last episode when the narrator said something about the morning school run then camera showed Greg mooching around the streets looking highly suspect at school run time with hands in pockets of his dodgy mac and face hidden behind his flat cap. Literally looked like he was about to hide in some bushes GrinGrin

Momniscient · 23/09/2020 15:28

@TweetUsOnFacebook I noticed the plastic plates too! I figured each child had "their colour" to make dishing up easier... "no chips for child with green plate, but extra carrots" kind of thing.

TweetUsOnFacebook · 23/09/2020 15:40

Yes I guess that could be the reason Momniscient. My dc have some fussy tendencies, dd2 has to have her grave separate etc. We all have the same plates but I lay them on the counter in age order from left to right, so dh first, then me ds1, dd1 etc.

TweetUsOnFacebook · 23/09/2020 15:40

Gravy not grave Shock

Jellycatspyjamas · 24/09/2020 09:01

I doubt if someone serve that cauliflower or the green pasta up to Greg on Mastershout he’d be singing it’s praises - both dishes looked utterly vile, and that thing they called a frittata 🤢

I wonder where the nutritionist has gone, she was patronising as all fuck but her good looked edible.
