Just a reminder that this fab programme is back

That people who spend £100’s a week amazingly reduce their shopping bill 😂😂

Assuming new series. Hope it is

Greg and Chris help a mum And her two boys Ditch the micro meals

What fabulous meals will they cook

What will they swap

And will they have the usual - I don’t like that - and it’s their usual brand 😂😂😂😂

Love this show. What a lovely family, the mum is amazing

Monstermissy36 · 08/09/2020 20:36

Mum is just lovely and positive 😀

ChesterDrawsDoesntExist · 08/09/2020 20:36

This is one time when I saw the ready meals and though... "Hmm... fair enough. That woman is needing the easy meals!"

Usually it's people doing stupid stuff like buying pre cut cauliflower and Broccoli for £2 when they could buy 5x as much of uncut for a quid. Or worse, buying bags and bags of cut carrots for her carrot snacking kids instead of cutting them up themselves. It takes less than a minute!

You'll never convince me Choco Snaps are anything like Coco pops though. Greg would be kicked out of my kitchen for that substitute. Ugh.

ellenanora5 · 08/09/2020 20:38

Oh thanks op, didn't realise it was back so just turned it on Smile

lastqueenofscotland · 08/09/2020 20:45

Helping a lady cut down on a £100 a week shop is so much more relatable than people spending over £1k a month

woodhill · 08/09/2020 20:47

Liking the eco bit

Wolfcub · 08/09/2020 20:47

Her kids are lovely too. What pleasant and polite kids

dillite · 08/09/2020 20:53

Why does Greg always shout at everything? Someone's standing 2 feet away and yet his voice is set to 100 decibels.

Also, he is a chef, right? Why is he amazed over simple recipes by the other guy?

P.s. I really don't like the man.

maverickallthetime · 08/09/2020 20:56

@dillite he's a grocer not a chef!

Lurleene · 08/09/2020 21:01

I really enjoyed that episode, what a lovely warm family and they really gave it a good go. I hope they get their holiday.

Tomorrowisanewday · 08/09/2020 21:03

I usually watch this so I can rant at the TV, but that family was lovely. Surely there are organisations that could help them?

The younger boy came across as such a credit to his mum, but he had such sad eyes, he nearly made me cry Sad

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/09/2020 21:05

@Tomorrowisanewday I would have thought so to

A disabled /sn holiday

Did they mention the dad ? Where was he ?

Anyone else notice that they seem to have done away with the nutritionist woman?

PotholePalace · 08/09/2020 21:08

Loved her children, I'd be proud if they were mine. I keep meaning to try cooking savoury muffins.

Carriemac · 08/09/2020 21:08

Lovely family with a lot on their plate - BUT she's eating herself into an early grave . That shop is shocking . I understand the ready meals and honestly I'd be the same but the sugar and crap is terrible
And they need an adapted holiday from somebody for free - can't think of a moe deserving family

PickwickThePlockingDodo · 08/09/2020 21:39

Lovely family tonight. Same as everyone else I'm usually shouting at the tv but I couldn't blame her although she could've dished up some veg with the ready meals.

I was in awe of the 11yr old knocking up the pasta bake, he could teach my teens a thing or two.

I also liked the eco bit, things need to change big time in the supermarkets, I got a swede wrapped in plastic from my asda delivery today - no bloody need Angry

Yes we were wondering where she had gone

Just want to gift them a holiday , such a lovely family.

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/09/2020 22:07

Didn’t even notice the woman nitro wasn’t there 😂

Unescorted · 08/09/2020 22:08

The kids are awesome - neither of them wouldn't give something a try. Even the microwave frittata, which looked really rank.

Where is Pria?

doadeer · 08/09/2020 22:33

What a lovely mum... Made me feel like crying ❤️

jay55 · 08/09/2020 22:47

Love tonight's family.
I thought the youngest was quite inventive with his mousse and cream GrinGrinbut his face tasting the pulled pork was the best part.

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/09/2020 08:34

I need the recipe for that

Wasn’t it literally chopped onion. Turkey leg and some kind of sauce

BlessedBeTheFruitCake · 09/09/2020 11:01

The family were lovely. The little boy declaring everything flipping gorgeous made me smile. He seems so much more mature than my 11yo. There is a charity called Family Fund that will pay towards holidays amongst other things, hope the family get the holiday they deserve.

Deathraystare · 09/09/2020 13:25

Surely there must be groups /charities that would help out with holidays and go on an adapted one for her eldest

I was thinking the same thing! The mum seems to be cheerful, but no wonder she went through so many snacks!
