New 4 part thriller mon to Thur

Ophelia is an english student Who falls in love with her married lecturer Dr Micheal Callaghan

When is suddenly disappears she tracked him down at his family home
Where she finds out Michaels wife Roisin disappeared in a house fire

Looks good and like the fact it’s on every night :)

This will continue into another series I reckon.

She has been found abroad and off we go again

butterpuffed · 07/08/2020 08:07

Ended up loving this for all the wrong reasons , should be nominated for a Bafta in 'The Most Holes in the Plot' category Grin

ineedaholidaynow · 07/08/2020 08:14

Maybe she wanted to start a new life and try and be a different person and not someone who had killed someone.

peachypetite · 07/08/2020 08:20

A lot of this really isn’t making sense
Why would she stay in that house when he went back to Cambridge to get his dad?
How is she finding out the sex so early Grin

The80sweregreat · 07/08/2020 08:38

I think the writers changed their story half way through as the plot was all over the shop at times and a bit nonsensical.
It was a bit like those films channel five put on in the afternoons sometimes.

WhentheDealGoesDown · 07/08/2020 08:48

Definitely set up for another series, I enjoyed it even though a lot of it didn't really make sense.

The80sweregreat · 07/08/2020 09:22

I'm glad I wasnt the only one slightly confused! Since ' gone girl ' and ' the girl on the train' writers have tried too many twists and turns and a lot of it becomes unrealistic at times.

Susiesoap7 · 07/08/2020 10:07

Very disappointing

PollyPelargonium52 · 07/08/2020 11:00

I found it a load of crap.

IsadoraQuagmire · 07/08/2020 12:31

Well I enjoyed the first 3 episodes, mostly because I was pleased to see Emmett J Scanlon cast in a leading role, and because I liked the locations.
But the final episode was DIRE, all the women were such dimwits too.

FawnDrench · 07/08/2020 13:09

The only people who were "Deceived" were us, the viewers.
What a load of ould shite.

VincaMinor · 07/08/2020 13:27

I thought most of the acting was good but was distracted by not finding Emily Reid's acting that good, so i couldn't forget she was acting. I realise i must be wrong about this though as wikipedia tells me she got a scholarship to The Juilliard!

She did 'narrowing the eyes' very well. Grin

Spot on!
bizmum1 · 07/08/2020 14:49

All style and no substance

The80sweregreat · 07/08/2020 15:23

That red coat was worth it though!
It would look hideous on me 😀

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/08/2020 17:40

Hmmmmm

So will be a S 2

Why did they still Say Rosin was dead and not locked up

Agree silly to keep the bag

They didn’t say how she died the 2nd time after Mary said the Body was Annabel

OP posts:
Wingedharpy · 08/08/2020 00:14

I missed some of it so maybe I'm talking "ould shite" too but...., Roisin had to stay "dead", otherwise how would she explain why she hadn't come forward after the fire to say the body wasn't her? The whole village already thought she was dead and buried. If she turned up after his death, how would she explain where she'd been and wouldn't that just encourage police interest and a potential charge of accessory to murder or whatever it's called?

ineedaholidaynow · 08/08/2020 00:25

I thought they were going to say she had been locked up in a room and they had only just found her

katy1213 · 08/08/2020 00:48

This is truly awful. No wonder it's on Channel5.

BobGalaxy · 08/08/2020 10:14

I follow Paul Mescal on Instagram and thought it was weird he'd made no mention of this series. Now I know why Grin

The80sweregreat · 08/08/2020 10:34

I'm going to defend it a bit as there has been so little on tv lately due to the virus and summer tv is usually dire anyway!
I thought the acting wasn't too bad : a bit cheesy and melodramatic in places but not really terrible. It held my attention which is rare for me because I do become bored very quickly usually and the scenery was also nice too. Being on for four nights on the trot was good as well.
It was a bit sloppy with the plot. Nice to have a happy ending too although maybe not for Roisin who has been found out!
7 out of 10 from me ! 😀
It was ok. I wonder if they will make another one?

salcombebabe · 08/08/2020 10:43

I’ve recorded the first one but can’t get any of the other episodes on catch up apart no 4, does anyone know how I get 2&3 please?

BobGalaxy · 08/08/2020 11:30

@salcombebabe I watched a couple on channel 5 website

salcombebabe · 08/08/2020 12:03

Thank you BobGalaxy
