Ophelia is an english student Who falls in love with her married lecturer Dr Micheal Callaghan

When is suddenly disappears she tracked him down at his family home
Where she finds out Michaels wife Roisin disappeared in a house fire

Looks good and like the fact it’s on every night :)

So enjoying this! But I think I have watched too many things with twists and turns, I am seeing clues , portents and spoilers in every little scene.

A tea caddy! Is someone trying to poison ophelia, drug her, kill the baby.

A cigarette lighter! A key, a locked door, another key, another locked door........

A light that doesn't work, a candle, an open flame....

I must stop, just watch the damn thing and stop trying to out run the plot!

I'm hooked now! I think it's pretty good and Roslin's mum is definitely dodgy.
I also agree they want the baby..
She should run for the hills.

I'm assuming the title "The Deceived " means more than one person is being deceived, or the person we think is being deceived, isn't! A few twists ahead, hopefully. There are so many clichés though, we all knew the bath scene wouldn't end well!

I missed last night so have a bit of catching up to do but the ending scene with the mum in the nursery freaked me out a little bit.

There was a scene showing her having a scan, and being told it was a girl, though. It was odd, as she didn't look anywhere near as advanced in pregnancy for the scan to show that.

I thought that. She told him when she arrived in Ireland that she was only 4 weeks gone and she doesn't appear to have been there for more than about a week Confused

Plus to tell the sex that’s at 20w scan

Def not 12

Mine was unsure at 16w 3D scan - said she was 99% but not 100% so waited till 20w scan

If she had just found out assume 6/8w preg at tops plus a week in Ireland

Doesn’t add up

Who was the mystery man at the end? ..
Maybe he is the ' ghost ' writer of Roslin's books or Michael is the real author and used to let her have the glory for some weird reason! He was very defensive against the film director guy in the flash backs. We are meant to feel his a bit jealous but maybe there's more to it? The mystery man knows she didn't really write the novels ?
I've no idea , but it's intriguing and being called ' the deceived' could mean more than one is being deceived here!

Ophelia only told Michael she was pregnant when she followed him to Ireland and announced it after Rosin's funeral.
So they can't have "planned" it as there wasn't a baby in the picture till then.

How could they have known Ophelia would even try to find him?

Perhaps the Deception is Ophelia and Roisin together and Ophelia agreed to have a baby for her...

I can't imagine Ophelia being the deceptive type somehow , she seems too much of a wet blanket to deceive people!
You never know of course..
Ruth seems a bit suspect to me.
I'm not good with tv dramas and predicting things ( I'm usually wrong) but books I m better with , strangely enough.
I think the mystery man at the end (from last night ) will show up.

When I first read about it, it said there were plenty of twists and turns and red herrings.
I'm enjoying it anyway, I'm watching for Emmett J Scanlon, he's an excellent actor.
