The whole Ryan finding his brain and making 2+2= 5 and Adam guessing Gary killed rick is just so awful. I’m sure they could have laid more realistic pathways to the same realisations.

I wouldn’t turn Adam down either though tbf. Could make an interesting threesome

For some reason I always assumed Tim's mother left when he was about twelve or in his teens. It seems odd he's never mentioned the fact that Geoff brought him up on his own.

Me too. The weird thing is that, in terms of the storyline so far, they could have kept that as the case. Tim hasn’t seen Elaine yet; it’s not even her real name, so if he heard the witness name it wouldn’t mean anything. Then there could have been a big ‘Mum?’ moment in the courtroom.

I got the impression with the covid parts that they're trying to imply it is still early lockdown for them so maybe they're attempting to catch up by going at a quicker pace than usual so we're not supposed to be at the same time yet but we will be in a few weeks maybe?

I think we’re seeing the covid scenes that were filmed several weeks ago when the balcony singing Italians and nurses being rushed off their feet was all over the news (and feels like a million years ago now!) and they couldn’t really have predicted how the situation would look at the time of broadcast because things have changed since then but there was no way of them knowing how or when.

Filming started up again back in June so although a few weeks ago now I still thought that was past the balcony singing etc but I guess they are just using Covid scenarios that have become iconic and define the era.

If they were to make a film based on this in say 20 years I’m sure they’d put in clapping for the nhs, signing out of windows, toilet roll panic buying etc

Yes I reckon so. They have been referencing the stuff that hit the news like the wildlife etc. I’m guessing that Will ease off soon and we’ll just have normal Corrie with covid stuff running in the background.

So according to Digital Spy, Geoff claimed his second wife, Tessa, was Tim’s mum. That makes sense as I was convinced I’d heard Tim’s mum referenced as Tessa.

Yep tessa was definitely the name they have used in the past as Tim’s mothers name.

So presumably Tessa was Tim's step mum?

Could be, does Tim know she was a step mum or did he think she was his bio mum? If he thought Tessa was his bio mum then he’ll have no idea who ‘Elaine’ is.

It makes no sense. Geoff never talked about a phillipa, just tessa. There’s no way Aliyah would have heard Elaine say she was Geoff’s Ex wife and said “but Geoff’s Ex was called Phillipa. Unless at some time not shown to the viewer Geoff informed her he had a wife before tessa. But even then, surely Aliyah first thought would have been of tessa?
