Couldn't see a new thread so started this one. So we're now into a show of two halves, edited together - pre and post lockdown! Who's shouting "before" "after" at each scene?

Did anyone else enjoy Let's get ready to Rumble?

Did anyone play that game as a kid where you all write a sentence or 2 of a story on your piece of paper, then fold the top over and pass it to the next person to add the next few lines fold it over, pass it on etc... (probably just me).

Anyway... I think that's how they write a storyline. "Right guys, this ones about Tim and Sally. Everyone write, direct and film a scene and we'll play them in a random order as picked by my elderly Granny

Next time fillers... Mary will be teaching hopscotch outside the flower shop.
Juggling lessons in corner shop, someone will cut half their finger off in kabab shop and another ambulance will be called.

The factory workers will do some NHS fund raising calendar in nothing but Under world pants and Craig will be nominated for slimmer of the year with posh award dinner. There we go!

Yes!! We played that game as kids. It was so funny.

Sally and Tim got married.

And his dad turned out to be a psychopath.

Meanwhile the local policeman went on a diet and started blabbing police secrets.

And the vicar's boyfriend's sister had quads.

And then Sally's ex-husband's girlfriend's AA sponsor poured her stolen morphine down the drain at the pub that may or may not have been shut.

Think that game was called Consequences! The last line was "Consequently....... ( then something really funny or outrageous happened! ) Sounds familiar!

I think I was more bored than the new prostitute in this episode.

At least Cardi Cherry B is getting paid.

What are we getting? A slow televisual lobotomy and an annual invoice for the licence fee.

I just can't watch it the last couple weeks it makes me cringe. I have even cancelled my series link! Have i missed anything what happened to Geoff's ex.

I wonder if there's ever going to be a time when soap couples will be allowed to hug and kiss again. I think it will be a long time into the future, if ever.

Though I was grateful for the enforced distance during the Gemma/Chesney "special birthday present" scene 🤢 Afternoon delight with quads? Yeah, right!

You've missed nothing *Belledan1". Literally nothing. I still watch it because Corrie has always been like a big comfort blanket for me but, apart from Peter and Carla and Jenny, I dislike all of the characters at the moment.

Consequences ! Yes, we used to play it as a family at Christmas when I was a child.

I did hear the name Yasmeen mentioned once. She hasn't had her op yet by the sound of it. Wouldn't that have happened if she was still in hospital?
As for Geoff, he seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth!

They need to drop Cardi prostitute storyline. I thought the whole thing was for girl to put on cardi, Daniel to lie on bed with her snuggled into said cardi, imagining it was Sinead. Having a convo online is not quite the same and no cardi!

Then he says 'look, sorry, this isn't working for me' !! He may as well put the cardi on a pillow, put his head on it, and talk to himself!

I don't think we ever had a name for the game. It was just the 'write funny stories game' We also did the same thing but you draw a creature instead and fold so you can just see the very bottom of the section you drew so it all lined up. All seems so simple looking back. No doubt there's an app to play these games now

Gemma and Chesneys "birthday present" scene made me feel a bit queasy.
Why was Daniel meeting old cardi girl in the flat, but new cardi girl on zoom? I'll listen to him drone on over zoom if he pays me

I used to love Consequences and also the animal drawing version!
The whole Oliver storyline seems to have been put on the backburner.

Perhaps they should have put some classic episodes on instead of trying to make new episodes with no content. They could have thrown it out to the viewers asking which episodes we'd like to see again.

Bit off topic, as the storyline are so dire, I was admiring the back room of the pub. I really like the decor!

Yes, the decor's more interesting than the plot, these days.

I was wondering when they put that wood panelling on the lower half of the walls. It looked as though Carla was sitting in a hotel lobby, to my mind, but when the cameras were on Peter there was a distinctly un-stylish picture and a lot of nick nacks - very different.

I noticed that the framed picture of Johnny, Kate and Shayne Ward that's hanging on the wall near the door is the same one that's on the mantle piece opposite 😂

Is Paul suffering from threadworm or is he just having too many coffee from the new Costa, he literally bounces around!
I can't see the point in Peter getting so involved with Abi, surely Carla still needs him more? He's starting to look quite attractive, maybe I need to get out more!

Carla seems to have changed. She used to have a strong, dominant personality, but is now quiet and meek (and dull).

For the the love of God and many viewers who are hanging on by a thread Corrie writers, please don't let Gemma get pregnant again from her 'birthday" treat. It would not be interesting, funny, or controversial in any make, shape, or form.
