Couldn't see a new thread so started this one. So we're now into a show of two halves, edited together - pre and post lockdown! Who's shouting "before" "after" at each scene?

I agree. Wouldn't care if I never saw Gary again, I find his character really one dimensional.

Isn't it strange having no one above the age of about 70 on the show because of covid. Makes you wonder what the heck they are going to do if this distancing etc carries on for a long time and they don't come back for a long time. I don't want to be morbid but there are a fair few actors 80 plus

I suspect you could be right. Please don't let this be the 'explosive' Christmas storyline! And yes, his weirdly shaved head makes me 🤢 for some reason. He's not convincing as 'a catch' at all. I seem to recall he was okay a few years back but he has no redeeming features at all now.

He was ok at the start when he had the baby with the woman whose name we dare not mention and was good with Faye.
I'm hoping dr Ali is doing a masters in public health and can become a covid tsar. I liked him and Andy in the basement.
I hope Ryan gets a huge story, he amuses me.

Why was Maria so delighted at the prospect of a honeymoon at a place belonging to one of Gary's many invisible mates which was "free of charge"? As if being Mrs Ginger Whisperer wasn't bad enough ...

Yeah but eggandonion remember before that when he was feuding with the Platts and stealing stuff from Joe McIntyre? He was a right hooligan! Think he was okay after he came back from army and got together with Izzy alright.

Ken is expecting to be back filming in September apparently - he was 88 in lockdown. He is amazing for his age.

Why don't Corrie bring in some fresh blood for boyfriends/girlfriends from outside the street, who disappear at the end of a relationship, rather then move around to everyone else in a similar age group. It's all so bloody incestuous!

Dear Corrie Writers - you can have a boy/girlfriend who doesn't live on the same street as you!

Joe McIntyre doesn't feature in my memory, I only have space for les Dennis and Richard Hillman, and obviously our Brian. If one of the long, dull stories happened in our street it would be discussed for years.
One of our neighbours fell off a ladder last week and was taken away in an ambulance by army medics. We will talk about it for years!

The only good thing Joe did was bring Tina into Corrie.

I think Tina may have brought Joe in rather than vice versa

I wonder if the actor chose that haircut or if it was imposed upon him by the producers.

I often imagine the actors like Gary to be complete luvvies once the cameras stop rolling. Calling each other 'daaaaahling' and immersing themselves in The Method techniques in their trailers.
